Half growler shared by alexsdad06 at the Aloft post-Grand Tasting bottled fart share. Thanks, Brad, but once again - stop aging Jackie-Os growlers! Pours a deep brown with a beige ring for a head. Notes of olives, raspberries, vanilla, chocolate, oak, cola, and leather. Medium-bodied, with a tart, earthy, briny mouthfeel and low carbonation. I need to try it fresh because I suspect its better than this.

Draft at a bottle release. This reminded me of drinking Craftsman Honesty at Toronado SD. Not that it helps you learn about this beer but thats what I wanted to remember about it.

Draft. Pours a clear reddish brown color with a small off white head. The aroma has a light funk, moderate amounts of tart raspberries, vinous notes from the cab barrel, a splash of vanilla and hints of the roast from the base beer. The flavor has the slightest trace of roasted malts, ample raspberries, vinous cab notes, some funk. I thought the finish was on the soft side. Interesting beer.
