3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 JorisPPattyn (7308) - Antwerpen, - MAR 19, 2012Small white head, fed by lively carbonated veiled yellow beer. Unobtrusive, but distinct aroma of saffron; pale malts and white candi sugar. Pinch of salt/seawater. Taste yields wheat, a bit of lemon, and not much else. Retronasal again a whiff of the saffron. Feels overcarbonated, fizzy, but with an empty, watery body. With the above, it ought to be the ultimate pairing beer for fish, scampi, etc. Unfortunately, it hasn’t much more taste than the first sparkling mineral water.

bottle, yellow coloured with foamy white head. Smell yeasty, fruity. taste: peach, yeasty, some bitterniss but not overwhelming. Nice but a bit monotone one and not really ’special’.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 CaptainCougar (7093) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - APR 24, 2010
Bottle sampled at Papsø’s on 8/30/09: Pours a hazy pale golden with a well-lacing frothy white head. Aroma of lightly sweet pale malt with a strong vinegar presence. Starts very effervescent with a touch of mild sweetness before giving way to tart citric and acetic notes lingering in the finish. This one definitely seems infected.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 MoritzF (7756) - Bochum, GERMANY - JAN 5, 2010
(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, pale golden coloured hue with many particles swimming around and a blond medium-sized foamy head. Acidic citrus- and lemon-fruity aroma with shy hints of pale malt and wheat, accompanied by spicy and slightly skunky phenols. Sour and slightly sweet flavour, medium bodied with a moderate, almost spritzy carbonation. Slightly wheaty pale malty taste with dominating sourish fruity notes and shy spices in the backyard; quite dry and sour fruity finish with a shy hoppy touch. Not bad, just one-dimensional. 05.I.10
