COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This beer was brewed as a collaboration between Jack’s Abby and Lawson’s Finest Liquids. Valley Malt malted all the 2-row malt in addition to the specially smoked malt with hand-sourced wood from VT. Brewed with one gallon of maple syrup per barrel of beer. An addition of lactose sugar and brown malt rounds out a beer that tastes great from breakfast till dessert. Enjoy! May 2013 release.

500ml thanks to Ian! Pours a clear amber caramel colour with a foamy tan head. Aroma is smokey maple with some molasses. Great balanced smoke and wood, lots of both. Sweet caramel body. Very lightly carbed, maybe under carbed but a really nice beer.

Just the right amount of smokiness, super easy to drink, and a nice maple sugary sweetness that’s not overdone. Yum.

500ml bottle from Julio’s. Pours a dark copper with a one finger creamy beige head. No lace. Light maple and smoked malt on the aroma, very inviting. Flavor is initially sweet, with the maple being up front. Touch of vanilla bean in here too. Sweetness is tempered by the light touch of smoke. Full bodied and smooth. Nicely done. Both the maple & smoked malt were light and didn’t overpower.

Bottle. Not quite clear deep amber/brown pour with dissappearing white head. Good smoky aroma, light woody notes, maple. Lots of maple flavor, light smokiness, rich woddy malt flavors, very tasty. Palate has light carbonation and medium body, could use a little more carb. Very tasty.
