This beer was brewed as a collaboration between Jack’s Abby and Lawson’s Finest Liquids. Valley Malt malted all the 2-row malt in addition to the specially smoked malt with hand-sourced wood from VT. Brewed with one gallon of maple syrup per barrel of beer. An addition of lactose sugar and brown malt rounds out a beer that tastes great from breakfast till dessert. Enjoy! May 2013 release.

Pours hazy amber with almost no head. The aroma brings bacon and maple syrup, a delicious smokey breakfast. The flavor brings some smoked and mapley malts, not super sweet by any means, but soft and smooth on the tongue. The smoke is not overbearing either.

Pours a dark amber with a thick tan head. Aroma has light roast, dry leaves, tree bark, and mild smoke. Flavor light sweet maple, mild rroast/fruity maltiness, and smokiness creeping in and cutting through the sweetness. Mouthfeel is medium and silky with a dry smoky/maple finish.

50cl bottle pours a hazy, caramel amber with some wispy, white head. Nose is some light smoke, a little cherry wood, some light maple, almost a maple wine aroma, some brown sugar, malt. Flavor is a weird mix of sausage fat and sweet maple, I guess it tastes like breakfast sausage, but not in a great way, honey, malt, brown sugar, some bread, some pitted fruit, a little cherry, date. Full, sweet and smokey finish. A strange combo.

On tap at the house de 1000. I hate smoked beers but the barmaid at the house gave me a sample of this to try for free. I was very suprized at its drinkability for a lager lover. slight metal aroma. some haze in a darker amber brown liquid. yes, maple fer sure. not over the top what so ever. makes me think about bacon but its not in yer face. quite acce[table beer experince.

This flavor profile is usually encountered in porter-style beers, but expressed as a lager it’s nonetheless delicious. The description tells me that it is perfectly acceptable for someone like me to drink this all day long..... I wonder how many bottles I would need for that?

Bottle split at Tony’s, from the Beer Shop LTD, 19/05/13. Hazed copper with a thin off white head. Nose is caramel malts, maple syrup, touch of smoke. Taste comprises smoked gammon, sugars, caramel, syrup. Medium bodied, fine carbonation. Ok - a little to sweet.

Pours a slightly hazy light amber with a smallish off white head that dissipates quickly. Smells of earthy sugar with a solid hit of smokey phenols and little else. The flavor follows the aroma, sweet sugary malts with plenty of smoked flavor. Medium body with a moderate level of carbonation and a slick smokey mouthfeel. Nice beer but a bit boring.

500 ml bottle from trade with 46er3498. Pours a slightly cloudy amber color with a small foamy head that lingers a bit. Aroma is smoke, bacon, and a nice lactose sweetness. Taste is interesting, a mix of a sugary candy sweetness with smooth smokey bacon. The sweetness is a bit overpowering. I think the smoke could be a little stronger to help balance it a little. Medium to thick body, mouthfeel is smooth and a little syrupy. Overall, it gets points for being unique but it’s not something I’ll drink again probably.

500ml bottle. Pours amber with very little off white head that goes away fairly quickly. Smoky aroma. Oily palate. Sweet flavors of maple and candy sugar making this a tad too sweet for my liking but not bad for what it is.
