Our ode to summer. By implementing a sour mash procedure in our kettle, an intense lactic and sour character emerges. The beer is then fermented with our lager yeast. Finishes fruity, citrusy, dry and quite tart.

Bootle from Table and Vine, West Springfield. It pours lightly hazy gold with a small white head. The nose is soft, cracker, white bread, some farmyard funk and some fresh yoghurt. The taste is crisp, lightly bitter, tart, clean, light minerals, fresh lemon, green apple, sherbet and lactic acid with a dry finish. Light body and fine, moderate carbonation. Light, tart and super easy-going.

On tap at farmhouse tap and grill. Clear very pale gold pour with very thin veil of white foam. Aroma is lightly tart, lactic and lemony notes, soured grain, very light grassy hop notes. Taste is lightly tart, quite wheaty, mild graininess, really kinda halfway between a Berliner and a pils, kind of tastes just like old pils. Palate is light bodied, almost watery with light carbonation. Not bad, just bland.

translucent straw, thin bubbled drops fast to tepid color, cider appearance. Watery nose is soft sugars (rice), milky lactic acid strongest element. Watery profile, low with almost no carbonation, green apple skin and sharper acids than nose, less lactic, hotter and brighter. Soft finish.

Very light, very lactic... The aroma and flavor have hints of lemon and citrus, but the tartness takes center stage. Nicely balanced, refreshing and easy to drink.

Ummm so this is supposed to be a Berliner Weiss. So where's the sourness? I didn't get any at all. With some good flavor this could have been a good beer. Checks all the other boxes. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
