COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hoponius Union harmoniously combines lager yeast fermentation and West Coast IPA hops. Our India style Pale Lager is like a traditional IPA but with a twist - it’s fermented cold and aged for extended periods. A blend of classic American hops creates a huge tropical fruit and citrusy hop aroma. A dry finish accentuates the pleasant bitterness and hop profile. Hoponius Union uses locally sourced ingredients. OG 15.5 Plato

A: Small head, copper in color with great clarity. S: Piney, citrus, resiny, and tropical hops. Very fruity, kinda like a kid cocktail. Sweetness coming trough. T: Bitterness comes trough right away. Fruity up from and the malts come in with bready notes with lingering chalky bitterness in the end. Bitterness eventually mellows out after a while. Pretty subdued flavor. M: Smooth, crisp, medium bodied, love the dryness. O: Pretty solid IPL. Really loved the aroma but the flavor was subdued and mostly tasted malt profile and bitterness of the hops.

Christian (11025) - Odense, DENMARK - FEB 6, 2014
Odense drinking Belgian Beer in February. Hazy golden with a lasting white head. Citrus and pine aroma with some malty notes, The flavour is dominated by citrus hops, but actually has a little fresh pilsner malt character that I didn’t expect in an American beer

Bottle. It pours clear golden with a small white head. The nose is crisp, pine, citrusy, grassy, dank hops and sherbet. The taste is crisp, pine, citrus peel, nice bitterness, sherbet and lemonade with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Crisp, balanced and very drinkable. Nice work!

Draught @ Noho Brewfest: This one pours a clear golden color. There was a small white head on it. The nose is good: piney and citrus hops. The taste is good also. IT has a pretty good hop bite. Pine and resinous hops dominate the flavor. Medium bodied. This tastes really good and is easy to drink.

12oz bottle via BoostIPA pours a slightly hazy golden/yellow with a large white head. Aroma of floral and tropical hops. Taste similar to aroma in the initial flavor and finishing with a resinous hop bitterness. Nice, very drinkable, clean dry and refreshing.
