COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hoponius Union harmoniously combines lager yeast fermentation and West Coast IPA hops. Our India style Pale Lager is like a traditional IPA but with a twist - it’s fermented cold and aged for extended periods. A blend of classic American hops creates a huge tropical fruit and citrusy hop aroma. A dry finish accentuates the pleasant bitterness and hop profile. Hoponius Union uses locally sourced ingredients. OG 15.5 Plato

UPDATED: APR 10, 2014 Draft at The Duck in Sturbridge, MA. Clear light amber pour with a white head and good lacing. Smell is sweet with malt and orange citrus, spicy piney hops. Taste is sweet orange with bittering grapefruit and hops. Finishes clean, pretty good.

Excellent clean hoppy lager, citrusy hops and clean pils malt. Tasty and sessionable as all hell.

On tap at the abbey. Pours a very nice golden orange with a sweet hoppy aroma. Citrus and pine but too tart in the finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Starts off just fine, but it is too hoppy for me. Little on the sweet side and the usual IPA citrus flavor never really surfaced. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Flaske: Gulorange diset øl med et stort tyndt skumhoved. Duften er clean crisp citrus humle. Lidt tynd mundfylde trækker ned på denne ellers fine øl.

Draught Third of a Pint at GBBF 2012, Olympia, London Aug 2012 - Very Fruity; citrus and tropical fruit. Hoppy; piney resinous and grassy hops. Dry hoppy finish. Very refreshing. IPA meets IPL. Nice Impy Pils!

Draft from Sunset Grill and Tap in Alston, MA. Tulip. Pours an amber-copper with a one finger head. Some nice lacing throughout. Aroma of citrus fruits, some pine resin, hay, grass. Taste is a hop explosion with serious citrus flavors, great malt balance profile, some spices and pine resin. Medium body and carbonation. Finishes citrus, floral and pine with slight bitterness. Great IPA.

12 oz bottle in Tavern Road. Pours slightly hazy amber gold with a nicely lasting thin white head. Buckets of tropical fruit on the nose. Super juicy, and a hint of malt in the background. Taste had very delicate malt, as a lager should, with a nice crisp but fruity bitterness. Nice carbonation, medium body, lasting fruity flavour. I think it could do with more lager character, but it’s still a terrific beer.

Nocturne (752) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - MAR 20, 2014
500ml bottle. Between golden and amber shade. Nose of lovely new world hops; peach and tropical notes. These are the kind of hop flavours I like. Juicy taste with jam-like fruitiness, berry fruits particularly. Little floral influence. Feels worlds away from most lagers, but the taste was not distinctive enough to really grab me.
