Hoponius Union harmoniously combines lager yeast fermentation and West Coast IPA hops. Our India style Pale Lager is like a traditional IPA but with a twist - it’s fermented cold and aged for extended periods. A blend of classic American hops creates a huge tropical fruit and citrusy hop aroma. A dry finish accentuates the pleasant bitterness and hop profile. Hoponius Union uses locally sourced ingredients. OG 15.5 Plato

500ml bottle. Hoppy, piney, a little bit of citrus. Unlike any lager i’ve had. A pretty good extra hoppy pale ale imo.

Bottle. Bready malt aroma with notes of grass, citrus and a bit of tropical fruit hops. Pours clear golden-amber colored with a thin but retentive white head that also has good lacing. Starts with bready malt flavor as well as a bit of grassy hops. Finishes dry with grapefruity citrus and tropical fruit hop flavors with just a hint of piney hop bitterness. Pretty good IPL.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Clear deep golden with a small, white head. Nose is extremely fruity, slightly citrusy. Rich, malty body, again fruity with a potent late bitterness. Very well rounded, extremely smooth. 280916

Hazy dark golden pour with minimal white head. Aroma is dank and fruity of the tropical variety, still allowing some bready malt through. Flavor is the same with a good punch of tropical fruits dominating a malty backbone. Finish is smoother than expected. Smooth sipping throughout. Very well done.

12oz bottle. Pours hazy orange with a small off-white head. Floral, citrusy hop aroma. Initial caramel maltiness turns into grapefruit with notes of mango, grass, bread, light pine, and a growing bitterness. Lingering bitter, hoppy grapefruit finish. Medium bodied, slightly above average carbonation, and a full mouthfeel.

Can at a toddler’s birthday party. Great IPL that showcases both sides of the style really well. The lager component is really clean and subtle, with just a bit of clean malt flavor, and the hops are prominent without being out of balance. Great on a hot day.

330ml bottle served in a chalice glass. Enjoyed at PiBar-Lausanne. Pours a cloudy orange color forming a small and creamy white head with medium retention and some lacings left in the glass. Nose is sweet, very malty and very herby. Pine and booze. Taste follows the nose. Very sweet upfront taste. Strong notes of caramel and biscuit. Strong notes of tropical fruits, resin and pale malts. Hints of pine. Full body. Medium carbonation. Caramel, resin and pine in the aftertaste. Not very persistent. Good drinkability. Great strong Lager.

A unique spin. Nice maltfeel with a touch of graham cracker. Hops are rich, but not overpowering. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sweet honey notes come through on the nose. The beer is a straw pale with very little head. The taste is mild, but balanced, with honey, bread and a light herbal grit at the finish. Goes down smooth and clean.
