COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hoponius Union harmoniously combines lager yeast fermentation and West Coast IPA hops. Our India style Pale Lager is like a traditional IPA but with a twist - it’s fermented cold and aged for extended periods. A blend of classic American hops creates a huge tropical fruit and citrusy hop aroma. A dry finish accentuates the pleasant bitterness and hop profile. Hoponius Union uses locally sourced ingredients. OG 15.5 Plato

Subtle citrus aroma, what is note worthy with this beer is the dry hop finish. The bitter hop taste makes this beer a hop lovers dream.

Beer 400! Big citrus pine nose. Big! Super foam from the first batch of Jack’s Abby to hit PA. Golden. Mild bitter, wheaty finish. Citrus zest, lemon.

50cl Bottle from Vonk Zaandam. Slightly hazy orange colour, white head. Aroma of citrus, tropical fruits, caramel, vanilla biscuits, some resin. Flavour is medium sweet, malty, caramel, cookies, tropical fruits, citrus, decent hoppy bitter finish. Medium bodied. Would never have guessed this is a lager.

Floral and light resin hop aroma. Cloudy orange color with a medium white head. Medium bitter beginning that increases in the middle fades in the finish and builds in the end again.

I like this beer a lot as a standard go to. Great hoppy smell and flavor. Nice Amber color, and good aftertaste.

12 oz bottle. Misty yellow orange with a clingy white head. Nose is orange, pineapple, mango and green apple with a hint of spearmint. Soft and silky with tiny carb prickles. Quenching yet substantial. Taste is bitter lemon, slightly sweet apple and marjoram with an earthy finish. Impressive lager.

Bright orange and clear pour from 12oz bottle at home, obtained in a trade. White ring of foamy head. Apricot and citrus fruity aroma. Lighter taste and body. Tropical fruit, lemon, a dry and slightly bitter finish. Really exceeded expectations.

Dark golden color with a medium sized, white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, pine, citrus, toast, and grapefruit. Taste of much of the same, bitter, lightly dry finish.

Draft at Moriartys. Clear gold pour with a soapy top that left some wet lace. Earthy citrus hops jump out first. Orange peels. Dried leaves. Mango skins. Pinecones. There is a nice full-bodied lager underneath (read Yuengling not Bud). Medium blond toffee caramel. The lager element helps balance things out better than a typical ale would. An interesting mix. It does seem to work but not sure how often I would want this because often times I in the mood for the hop bite of an IPA or the smoothness of a lager - but not at the same time.
