COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
XPL (Extra Pale Lager) The hardest part about making new and exciting hoppy beers is sourcing the hops you need. Most hops are bought under contracts which are signed two or three years in advance. We occasionally get opportunities to acquire small quantities of specialty hops that are enough for one batch of beer, but no more. This beer allows us to feature hops that we would otherwise not be able to make use of.Our first release of Hopstitution XPL will be released Thursday, December 5th. It will feature three new experimental hops, HBC-344, HBC-291 and HBC-462.

Bottle 500ml. Pours clear blond with high white head. Some lacing. Aroma is of fruits, clementines. Taste is of fruits, bitterness, clementines, slight vegetal stuff, herbs. Palate: Medium body. Medium carbonation. Overall: Pretty good. Unsusual hop action for me.

Bottle from Drum Hill Liquors The hops used portion of the label has nothing written on it so I assume it is this version. Pours a slightly hazy light straw color with a huge frothy bone white head that persists forever. Aromas of floral earthy pine and resin with just a hint of bready malt deep underneath. Pine earthy resinous hop flavor with moderate bitterness. Faint bready maltiness. Medium to light body with a moderate level of carbonation. Very nice brew! I am so ready for you to distribute to NH!

Bottle shared by Jean-Michael, thanks! Pours a clear golden and is topped by a medium and fluffy white head that leaves some nice lacing. Nose is fruity and tropical, mangoes, pineapples and peaches. Taste is a continuity but also offers some pine needles. It is sweet and moderately bitter so balance is good. There is also some light cereal flavors. Body is medium, carbonation a bit low and mouthfeel smooth overall. Overall I thought this was good but it wasn’t overly complex or special, nice to try though!

Bottle (500 ml). Shared by Jean-Michaël, thanks! Slightly hazy bright straw/golden with a frothy white head and good lacing. Aroma is of dank hops, citrus, piney notes, grassy presence and light onions (not unpleasant though). Taste is grassy and citrusy with piney notes, decent malt backbone, light fruitiness and hints of spices. Light to medium body. Medium carbonation. Slightly oily mouthfee. Dry finish. Moderately sticky soft grassy aftertaste. Clean and crisp. Super drinkable and quenching. Tasty stuff. Really enjoyable!

bottle shared by tom10101, thanks bro. pours hazy bright yellow with a frothy and creamy white head offering a very good retention and some lacing sticking. bright citrus, soft pine needles, spicy citrus, some mangoes, pale lean spicy maltiness, shy lagering fruitiness although flavors are clean and craftfully blended/mellowed, clean yeast if not a bit of welcoming dust. average carbonation, light body - oily, dry and crisp herbal-grassy-citrusy finish. excellent offering!

Lukaduke (2141) - Portland, Maine, USA - JUL 26, 2014
Pours a pale golden color with three fingers of rocky white foam. Nose is a fresh grass, pale pilsner malts, layers of tropical fruit, citrus and a touch of gamey straw. Palate follows the nose nicely with bright hop character and light cracker malt backbone. Nice balance of earthy spice and tropical fruit hop presence lead into a clean bitter finish.
