Pours golden on color with an off white head. The aroma consists of Nelson with notes of melon, grass and pine. Rather bitter

Bottle to glass. Bottled 4 days ago! Clean gold amber pour with a huge white head. Nose is very crisp; grass clippings, citrus, sweet hoppiness. Taste is sweet and earthy. Definitely very fresh hops going on here. Grass, grapefruit, citrus, earthy malt finish. Not overpowering bitter or sweet. Nice balance.

Finally I get to try this: wicked excited! $2.70 for the 4oz glass at the Grog served earlier today. Pours a sandy amber yellowish-golden with a trim, sudsy whitish ringed head. Aromas of white wine lees, Sauvignon blanc grapes, New Zealand hops, sea salt, king Edward potatoes, vitamins, and blueberries. Tastes of piney and citrus hops, LME, and Bavaria yeast. Krill oil and spelt by swallow. Hate to say it, but I was expecting more.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Hazy orange pour. Light cream head with seemingly permanent head retention. Giant grapefruit and pine aroma. Tons of fruit flavors, including lemon, grapefruit, peach, lime and watermelon. Serious bitterness in the finish. Pine resin dominates any malt that might be present. I like he way the clean lager character works with the hops and leaves them exposed and delicate. The only problem is that it leaves the beer a bit delicate, which is at odds with the aggressive bitterness. There seems to be a threshold on how big an IPL can reasonably be and this pushes that boundary. Still really tasty and really enjoyable, but unbalanced.

Draft. Pours yellow orange with light white head that lingers. Cloudy with light carbonation. Toasted bread flavors upfront with hop bite in the back.

Sharp hop aroma, contrasted with with some buttery and soapy malts. Glowing yellow, lasting lacy head. Tropical fruit flavor thatís somewhat gamey. To that note, the body has an oily feel to it. Unique stuff, I rate weird either very high or very low, so weíll leave it at that.

Pale golden yellow with small white head. Aroma fresh grassy hops and a little sweet malt. Medium body, crisp mouthfeel. Flavor herbal and citrus hops, off-dry, not too complex but nice overall.

UPDATED: NOV 12, 2013 500mL extremely fresh bottle (<1 week old) thanks to WillRunForBeer! Pours a low haze bright orange. Thick, white foam. Incredible lacing. Nose is beautiful soft flowers, orange marmalade, pale grist, mild DMS. Taste is pretty hefty alcohol wise, slightly abrasive. Palate is a bit chalky. Abv is a bit much. Wish it was toned down. The Pro-Am Pils kicked this one in the pants. Still, very good.
500mL second bottle, super fresh. Great foam, great retention. Awesome juicy kumquat nose, fresh grapefruit, really solid. Taste is super bitter, almost like eating raw radicchio, endive, and some gorgonzola cheese. Dusty, chalky palate. Surprisingly harsh with big alcohol presence. Canít get down with it sadly.

UPDATED: DEC 8, 2013 Another masterpiece DIPL from Jackís Abby. The Kiwi hops add an absolutely delicious spicy pepper flavor. The aroma is good but not great and the palate and body are solid despite the beer looking very pale in the glass.
