3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Julio’s. Poured into a pilsner glass - An average-looking yellow lager, but with a big frothy white head. Grassy-malt aromas. Flavor is bready and hoppy. More grass in the middle. Alcohol is well masked with the light honey sweetness, but it goes down smoothly so it hits hard and fast. OK, but give me an IPA over this any day!

My Bottom Line:
This floral and citrusy Double IPL is grounded by subtle honeyed cereals for a very personable example.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the clear honeyed blond.
-Mouthfeel is lean and drinkability very high.
-Resinous bitterness rises with every sip, but the juicy hops help weather the blow.
-This is as well-made as their Pilseners, which I appreciate.
On tap at The Reservoir, Waterbury, VT.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at home, acquired through trade. Pour is slightly hazy golden with a frothy white head and great lacing. Huge tropical fruity aroma - mango, pineapple, tangerines - light biscuit, straw, orange peel, weed and grass. Taste is grapefruit, citrus, cracker, ganja, pineapple, dough, weed, and oranges with a big dry bitter finish. Slick mouthfeel with high carbonation. Seriously tasty tropical hop bomb.

Tap. Pours a light gold color. Strong floral and citrus hop aroma. Powerful punch on the first sip. A lingering bitter aftertaste builds as you work your way through the beer. Goes down easily. Powerful beer and very good.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: FEB 16, 2014 Solid take on craft beer staple. Great citrus aroma and just a tad more bitter than you might expect. I don?t get many opportunities to drink lagers, but this may be my favorite. Jack?s Abby has really perfected their craft. Highly recommend for a different take on the India Pale.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at pro pig, pours clearish golden with medium lace. For a pilsner this jawn is nice and hoppy with some grapefruit and diesel. A little bit of sweet malting but mostly pretty dry and hoppy for a pilsner.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
A: Golden in color. Nice foamy white head that lingers. Great lacing.
S: Smell is amazing. Huge aroma citrus, tropical fruit, some peach, apricot with some malt coming through.
T: Nice citrus grapefruit right up front, then a little tropical fruit taste. Has a good malt backbone and has a solid base. Some sweetness but not much, overall pretty dry the way I like. On the back end it has some bitterness on the finish with some pine resin notes.
M: Light and mostly dry. It’s really crisp and would enjoy on a nice summer day.
O: A really nice beer. I wish I got this around here to get regularly.
