COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed in the French farmhouse style as a warm fermented lager. The grist contains 30% Rye Malt local sourced and malted in MA as well as Belgian candy sugar. We leave this beer slightly hazy to accentuate the mild fruity yeasty character. Copper in color, a spicy Rye flavor emerges in a dry yet malty finish. OG 14.5 Plato / IBUs 30 ABV 6.0% / January - May Release

Bottle. Poured a hazy yellow color with an average white creamy head that lasted and produced good lacing. Moderate yeast, rye bread and sweet candy aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium yeast sweet flavor with a smooth candy sweet finish of average duration. Soft drinkable brew.

UPDATED: AUG 3, 2013 Bottle @ home via trades with lukaduke and Ernesto987. Thanks guys! Pours a bit hazy, reddish orange appearance with a tan head. Caramel, orange fruity, spicy rye, sweet candy aroma. Tangy orange candy, chewy grainy rye, spicy, bready, somewhat sweet flavor. Honestly, probably the first Jack’s Abby brew that I didn’t enjoy.

Bottle... Clear dirty-orange ale with a tiny, creamy, white head. Good retention. The aroma is nutty and bready with spicy hops and bold grains. Medium-bodied with a whole-milk mouthfeel and lazy carbonation. The flavor is nutty, boasting sweetbread, husky grains and a hint of acidity. Finishes crisp and tangy. Many thanks go out to biggsbowler for hooking it up!

500mL thanks to WillRunForBeer! Pours a full haze orange, thicker, rocky off white foam with good formation and retention. Nice lacing. Nose is orange potpourri, soap, sanitizer, metallic penny. Taste is bitter orange, somewhat anesthetic in mouthfeel, camphor, metallic finish. Wasn’t a big fan.

Bottle that I took to Paul’s housewarming tasting. Pours a lightly hazed amber with a thin white head. Soft grain and a touch of spicy rye on the nose. Medium-bodied with some spicy rye and a touch of citrus. Long grain and toast on the finish. Faintly spicy, gentle rye. Tasty.

Pour out of 500 mL bottle, thanks Aaron! Slightly hazy orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of sour white grape, lemon, biscuit, hints of oak, caramel, toffee, some slight spice, interesting, pretty true to style. Taste is a mix of sweet caramel, toffee, red fruits, nice oak, slight craker, hints of grass, spicy hops, hints of white grape, finishing sweet, dry, slightly bitter. Pretty well done, just not a fan on the style.

500ml bottle, thanks to Mike L. Bottled spring 2013. Mildly hazy amber orange color. Thin off-white head. Some loose bits of lace. Medium body. Smooth, lighter carbonation, lightly soft. Lightly dry texture. Nice lightly spicy, lightly toasty rye malt character. Moderate sweet taste, very lightly spicy. Nice biere de garde. Good complex flavor.
