COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Caution! This is an intensely smokey lager similar to those found in Bamberg, Germany. Most of this brew’s malt was dried over flaming beechwood, which ingrains unique smokey flavors. A large proportion of Munich malts were used to create a Fest style beer with amber hue. We used specially smoked barley from Valley Malt. Prost!

nice clear light amber/orange color. aroma is all the smokey beechwood. very noticable not much else detected. flavor is pretty smooth, some spices, carmal, maple, the sweet body mixed very well with the deep smokey taste with each sip. great beer, flavor wouldnt be as impressive alone without the smoked malts. plan on purchasing this one again soon. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Light burnt orange. Smells okay certainly to style. Lots of hot dog water, smoked meat, salt and charcoal. Taste is interesting. yeah, super smokey, just straight up salty meat water. good mouthfeel certainly interesting but I’m just not a fan.

Nose is smoked ham and campfire. Taste is predominantly smoke meats. Weak semi-sweet malts of molasses, roasted malt . Average carbonation with a light oily to sticky mouthfeel. The lager yeast helps the body not be huge or too sweet. sticky and sweet. Overall not a style I run out and buy but this is a very nice Bamburg Germen style smoked brew.

Light haze on this orange - amber beer, tidy cream colour head. Smooth malts, some creamy sweetness. That nice mellow almost fruity smoke. Little marmalade. Light semi dry finish. Seems strange to describe a smoked beer as clean, but that’s what it feels like.

Geruch dezent schinkenrauchig, malzig. Beginnt zunächst süßmalzig. Danach rauchig, Schinken. Zur Mitte stärker im Rauch, Malz. Abgang bitter, rauchig. Gut.

Light cloudy almost cidery looking body, no head. Hit ham water nose, spicy smoke. Initial taste is foamy smoke, lean malt. Peppery and almost creamy middle. Decent carbonation. Finishes lean bitter finish.

Bottle shared at Craig’s. Pours mostly clear gold with a creamy white head. Rich smoked ham nose with hints of toasted toffee. Light-medium sweet flavor with robust cured ham, leaves, dry caramel. Light bodied with aveage carbonation. Finishes with some grainy malts, further cured ham, toasted sugars. Solid.
