COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our wet hopped lager is made from 100% handpicked (thanks team!) organically grown local hops from our family farm in Vermont. Mild earthy hop aroma mix well with maltly cereal notes from use of locally grown grain from Four Star Farm. Not to be confused as an extra hoppy beer, this is a nicely balanced pleasantly hopped lager. OG 13 / September release.

Aroma of raw hops and fresh cut grass. Bright yellow, very lively. Cool, medium hoppy bitterness and a smooth, soapy malt profile. Very smooth body, like a pilner with a stout’s feel. A good product, this brewery is practically next door so it is always fresh.

In short: A clean golden lager with mild wet-grassy hop profile. Ok.
How: Bottle 500ml. Consumed fresh a few days after it was picked-up at the brewery. A few dozen of bottles graciously offered by the brewery to someone who was coming up to the HF Harvest 2012 Festival. The bottles were then spread around, big thanks to the brewery and the gentleman who acted as the middle-man.
The look: Partly cloudy pale golden body topped by a small white head.
In long: Nose has some wet grass, fresh cereals, wet basement. Taste is fresh chewy/doughy cereals, wet grass. vegetal notes, light citrusy notes. Not much bitterness here. Full body with plenty of soft bubbles, very pleasant mouthfeel. Very clean and easy to drink, nourishing and refreshing but also unexciting. A pleasant beer that I got for free at the HF Harvest Festival by someone who was giving away Jack’s Abby bottles, and it amazes me how most people always seem to forget that it is totally alright to give me beer, lots of it.

Bottle from gn0sis. Pours gold with a slight white head that fades fast without much lacing. Slight grassy aroma but also a bit buttery. Taste is the same. Crisp and clean with a nice (not overpowering) grainy cereal backbone, but definitely a bit acetyl. Incredibly easy drinking though.

Bottle poured into pint glass.pretty simple beer right here, not much going on. Amber pour not much head or carb. Tastes like any other lager, would be much better is their was more of a hop presence

I say it again these guys know how to hop up lager’s. It was fun to drink and unbelievably tasty to boot. Always want more of this one in my glass. I wish it would come in a 6 pk of those lovely bottles

This is a very very light beer. The hops are subtle floral hops that are interesting but maybe not unique. Reminds me of an avg pilsner. The malts provide very light biscuit/cracker notes. Drinkable and nice but nothing great.

September 2012 vintage, 500ml bottle into a SA perfect pint A - Pours a clear straw yellow body with a thin bone white head. Solid lacing and retention. Pretty much perfect appearance for a pale lager. S - Cereal pilsner malt, sweet bubble gum. earthy hops and grass. T - Similar to the nose with grainy pilsner malts and a sweet bubblegum/fruit finish. Lightly hopped with some piney and grassy notes. Mouth feel is crisp, dry, and lively. O - Very pilferer like, but with a more pronounced hop presence. Tasty for sure, but I prefer Jabby Brau over this so far.

Bottle. Slightly hazy gold pour, no head. Slightly off hop aroma, good grain aroma, pils aroma. Light grainy flavor, nice hop flavor, much better than the aroma. Palate is light, decently fresh, pretty good.

500ml bottle in a lager glass. Pours golden with a white head. Aroma of pale malts and a decent amount of floral hops. Flavor the same. Average texture. A good beer for the style.
