Tap. Pours hazy reddish chestnut, small beige head, done lacing. Aroma is roasty, bread, nutty, toffee, bocky. Flavor is medium sweet, light bitter, lots of malts, touch of smoke. Light acidity. Bit of coffee. Medium body. Decent.

This is a really tasty beer. Dark caramel with a kick ohf hops in the finish. This is how you show your love ove beer on a special occasion. Great.

Mahogany pour with a khaki head. Very fruity aroma, almost cola-like sweetness, and a hint of roasted malt. Mild chocolate notes, caramel, burnt sugar, and hints of licorice. The flavor is intensely sweet and fruity, almost cloying. Burnt sugar, cola, caramel, and a bit of chocolate. Very light roasted malt.

Tap at the San Ramon brewpub. Mud brown pour. Aroma has some caramel and an odd plum character. Flavor is similar: faint of sweet caramel and vanilla with some plum tartness. Flat body. Not bad.
