COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A lot is read into the word craft or micro-produced. But how many cider companies have been growing apples for over 50 years? Not many. With Jack’s Hard Cider, we pride ourselves in the fact that we produce a hard cider from the ground up – literally. We grow the apples, press apples, ferment apples, and package the final product all from our facility located in one of the Apple Capitals of the World, Biglerville Pennsylvania. In a town that claims some of the biggest brand names in Apple Products, Jack’s Hard Cider was inspired by “Jack” Hauser, who led Musselman Foods into national recognition in the 1950s, and who is the patriarch of the Hauser Family, makers of Jack’s Hard Cider.

Finally a chance to taste this stuff. On tap at the boctown robinson, nice place. Smell is rather crisp, but not in yer face apples. Very good initial co2. No carbonation visible in the drink. Good cider feel to it. not too dry not to sweet. Goes down easy. has a tad of that dry medicinal feel to it but that fades rapidly after each swig. Finish is quite acceptable.

12 oz. can from Capone’s. Pours sake colored with no head and lively carbonation. Nose is crisp apple, some earthy and sugary notes. Tastes crisp, dry, with apple, some pear notes, and a crisp watery finish.

12oz can poured into glass. First cider out of a can! Slight apple aroma mixed with a little bit of sugar. Flavor is very dry and not that sweet at all, which I found somewhat surprising.

Can: Apple nose, not strong. Crystal clear, pale greenish yellow. Fairly well balanced apple flavor, neither too sweet, tart, or dry.. Carbonation is not too harsh. Well made, but not very imaginative or evocative.

This poured a very light clear yellow almost white color with a white head. Aroma was mainly dry, somewhat funky and cheesy granny smith apples. Flavor was fairly dry, not overly sweet like most commercial ciders, light earthy notes, light tang, and granny smith apples. Ok.

drinking @ The Jean Bonnet Tavern in Bedford,PA .. . pours a light pear .. medium fizz mouth .. no foam .. pear juice tartness and some sour apple .. . slick and fizzy, but lackluster.. . needs something to make it zing .. . . what a brilliant idea to have a fountain in here...

FROTHINGSLOSH (3977) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 30, 2012
Sampled from a 12 oz can this cider poured a very pale yellow color with a tr4ace white head that faded instantly and left no lacing. The aroma was dryish, medicinal and had a faint apple presence. The flavor was tangy sugary, faint tartness and green apples with a faint herbal and medicinal undertone. The finish was medium length tangy sugar and apple. Light to medium body. Eh.

Pours a clear pale yellow...lifeless. aroma has super faint white wine notes but barely anything at all. Flavor has grassy apples, a dusty note, and light champagne. Mouthfeel is medium and the finish is dry and winey.
