Light clear orange. Smells sulfury, acetone. Tastes malty, hot spice, light pumpkin. Eh...

Pours deep gold with white head. Spicy nutmeg aroma. Flavor what youíd expect...cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, allspice, pumpkin, spicy caramel malt. Sweet but not too sweet. Taste is a little artificial but not bad. Thin palate...thatís the biggest downfall of this. Overall itís pretty good, not great. Would I buy again...eh, maybe.

Decent pumpkin spice ale.

Orange copper color with a fizzy white head. No lacing. The aroma is strong nutmeg cinnamon, ginger, and pumpkin. The flavor is a lot weaker than the aroma suggests, with some pumpkin, sweet corny malt, and not much else. Tastes like a Coors with spices. Just now realized this is made by AB. Well, that explains it. Wet, sweet finish with barely any carbonation.

Draft at Universal (Orlando, FL). Pours a clear reddish orange color with a medium sized beige head. The aroma has a decent amount of spices: nutmeg, cinnamon, clove, etc. with the actual pumpkin less noticeable up front. Decent flavor. Good maltiness.

Lots of spices. No head, little aroma of pumpkin, nutmeg, all spice. Flavor of sweet nutmeg and spices, coriander, all spice, very malty! Dry finish and spiciness left lingering for awhile. The spices do the trick for me here. Makes me want to try more pumpkin brews.

Not a lot of aroma, but this is a really pretty beer! Crystal clear copper with a white head. A smooth malt base spiked with pumpkin and spice, cinnamon and nutmeg noticably standing out. Some light hops balancing in the background, but not getting in the way of the delicious pumpkin flavor. The labelís changed a bit this year (2010), but the beer doesnít seem to have. This is a really solid pumpkin ale that doesnít overdo the flavors like some do and could even go a bit further with it (but given who makes it, I doubt that will happen). Good job A-B!

Tasted from a 12 ounce bottle purchased in Denver, Colorado. Light amber appearance, not much of a head. Weak spice aroma and body. Actually a bit of a citrus taste. Poor pumpkin beer.

Spiceness comes through in the aroma - nice. The color matches the pumpkin character. The taste is laden with spice - ah, yes. The head is large when the ale is at the right temperature. If itís too cold, there is no head. No lacing. Body is medium with a texture somewhere between thin and creamy but not oily. Enjoy. After my rating, this good brew went up one point. The tipping point was reached. This is a lesson in how important one person, vote, decision can be.

Dark yellow (or light amber), not a lot of head. Aroma of spices - cinnamon, nutmeg, etc. - not much pumpkin there. Taste of spices too - same thing. There may be some pumpkin there, but itís far in the background. That said, itís actually a nice fall beer, though the fact itís a "pumpkin beer" seems a bit misleading.
