As I recall, this was an average pumplin ale. Obviously a bit overproduced so the flavors were not bountiful. But still reasonable.
BlackDonald (1040), North Carolina, USA Aug 8, 2008 This isn’t bad considering the source of where it comes from, but there are much better prodcuts in the same category and price range that are much more paleatable. A very weak malt profile that is dominated by overwhelming spices, lots of cinnamon and nutmeg, and not much of anything else, finishes watery and bland. mweber962000 (49), USA Jul 6, 2008 im rating it on what it is supposed to be and not what i like. decent for what it is ....really not my thing though. too spicy and nutmeggy. i cant drink two in a row. subcell (95), Portsmouth, Virginia, USA Jun 30, 2008 This rating was based on the bottled version but on tap it much better, It was far more bitter in the bottle, not nearly as smooth and balanced. I did enjoy the pumpkin pie spice though. Stick to draft on this one. gringo332 (68), Texas, USA Jun 25, 2008 Color is amber with orange tint. Aroma is spicey with notes of pumpkin, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Flavor is a whole lot more spice then pumpkin. Pretty smooth palate. The finish is a bit rough spices are somewhat overbearing not enough pumpkin. phishpond417 (1360), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Jun 17, 2008 It had been a while since i tried this, now a review after a refresher: A copper colour with a medium sized beige head. quite aromatic of pumpkin, cinnamon and sweet spicey smells (duh). Flavor of pumpkin, nutmeg and a hint of cinnamon. all in all a fairly dissapointing brew from AB- no suprise there. Does taste lager-ish...? i agree.
