kcmo19 (21), Morgantown, West Virginia, USA Oct 6, 2008 Eh nothing special here. It had a bit of pumpkin and spices with it, but something about this beer didn’t taste right. Pretty bland beer. BigBeer45 (487), Troy, Michigan, USA Oct 5, 2008 Has a gold pour with some amber and orange hues, produced a one to two finger white and off-white bubbled head that fell to a covering and ring, lots of carbonation, good aroma of spices, cinnamon, cloves and some faint nutmeg, a faint vegetable maybe pumpkin fragrance, light malt, vegetable and pumpkin flavors, when cold I could not say with certainty there is a pumpkin flavor but as this beer warmed the pumpkin flavor becomes more prominant, some clove and cinnamon spice flavors, sort of a bland tasting beer, has a less then medium mouth feel, lots of carbonation, spices overshadow the pumpkin and malt aroma and flavor, pumpkin comes out as it warms. pineypower (892), Pine Barrens, New Jersey, USA Oct 5, 2008 On tap at Chowderfest 2008. Pours out a light to moderate amber color with a small off white head. Aroma is of some cinnamon and nutmeg but very light. Taste is of cinnamon, nutmeg and a little malt going on in there, but the balance of the flavors just doesn’t work and the overall beer comes off as bland. Dastrn (66), Warsaw, Indiana, USA Oct 5, 2008 An imbalanced novelty brew. I don’t mind a little pumpkin in my beer in the fall, but this was just a little too much pumpkin. tastes of ginger and cinnamon are present, but didn’t help balance out this ale. Don’t feel bad if you don’t ever try this one. halfonit (54), Fall River, Massachusetts, USA Oct 4, 2008 I can smell i little bit of pumpkin in this one. It has a nice little golden color to it when poured in a glass. When sipped I can taste a little bit of pumpkin but nothing like Seadog or Shipyard. Those guys make an amazing pumpkin spice ale! It has a bitter aftertaste which wasn’t all too pleasant, but trust me, I’ve had worse. Not a bad AB product.
