Bottle: Dark amber coloured, thin, quickly diminishing head; very faint sweet-malty, mainly barnyardy, cardboardy, soapy nose; faint sweetish flavour; skunky, slightly sweetish-malty finish. Pretty horrilble.......................

0.5 l bottle. Sweet caramelly and slightly nutty aroma. Sweetish caramelly, toffeish and slightly nutty flavor with hint of licorice. Medium body. Mellow and drinkable.

Bottle @ Clockwork Brewpub. Ruby red brownish colour, off-white head. Nose is caramel malts, light toastiness, bit of fruits. Flavour is roasted malts, caramel, dark fruits. Slightly sweet finish.

Bottle @ The Clockwork Beer Co. Grassy caramel malt aroma. Medium brown colour, not much head. Dry caramel malt flavour. Smooth, sour aftertaste. Reasonable.

Bottle. Dark amber, small and fully diminishing head. Light to moderate malty and sweetish aroma, caramel, faint hoppyness. Light to moderate, malty and sugary sweetish flavor, caramel. Finish is short to average, malty and sweetish, some caramel, faint hoppyness. Caramel sweetish dunkel.

Wenig herber Antrunk, in dem weiche Malznoten im Vordergrund stehen. Im Mittelteil etwas würziger, das Bier ist zudem etwas süßer. Die Süße wirkt dabei künstlich, ohne dass dies stören würde. Im Hintergrund ist im Abgang eine trockene und fehlerhafte adstringente Note vorhanden. Insgesamt ein süffiges Dunkles mit nicht sonderlich gelungenem Abgang. 7/8/7/4/9/6

Draught.Color hazy brown with small head. Aroma caramel. Taste caramel, grain, bitter finish.

Bottle. Medium high fluffy lasting off-white head. Clear dark brown body. Sweet malty nutty caramel aroma. Relatively sweet barley malt cocoa caramel flavor with low carbonation and a long sweet aftertaste.

Bottled@GBBF2009. Deep ambery brown colour with mediumsized fluffy/foamy off-white head, that leaves some lace. Aroma is caramel malts, some slight roasted notes as well as toffee and some slight burnt sugary notes as well. Flavour is burnt sugar, some caramel malts, mild burnt sugary notes as well as slightly roasted notes. Some bitterness in the finish as well as rather sweet malts.

Brown with a small white head. Fruity aroma with toffee. Sweet malty flavour with plum notes and a slightly sour edge

From the Bottle at the GBBF, Earl’s Court 07/08/2009 Pale malt aroma. Dark coloured smooth and slightly rich on the palate with a crisp and slightly dry malt finish.
