Lots of malt aroma. Dark coloured fruity spicy and a little rich on the palate with some dryness in a crisp and bitter full malt finish. ChristianScheffel (4689), Odense, Denmark

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 3, 2007 Clearish cola coloured. Medium light tan head. Earthy and minty, herbal nose where cola notes rise up amongst minerally and greenish, wooden undertones. Undefined fruitiness is there all along, perhaps pear-like. It never goes too sweet while developing its liquorice-like flavours. Not the biggest blockbuster, but well built ale. fonefan (11999), VestJylland, Denmark

Big malty and roasted aroma along with some caramel and fruits. Flavour is very much the same with some bigtime raisins also kicking in. imdownthepub (5192), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England

Dark brown with malt head. Sweetish full flavoured beer, particularly fruity malty, more a mild in my view than a stout. Some licorice with a touch of treacle, moorish. harrisoni (6947), Ashford, Kent, England

Some choc in mouth, bit too sour liquoricey for me. Fairly intense aroma, not my kinda thing though. Mungo (2473), Southampton, Hampshire, England
