Clear medium to dark amber color with a average, frothy to fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted - caramel, moderate hoppy, medicine. Flavor is moderate sweet and heavy bitter with a average to long duration, metalic, medicine, sharp. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat, finish is light metalic. [20100805]

Peppery aroma. Copper golden coloured fruity and bitter with a hint of dryness in a grainy malt finish.

Cask@GBBF2010. Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is peas, hops, grass and some earthy notes. Flavour is wooden, a bit nutty, caramel malty, a bit grassy as well as slightly sappy.

From cask. Pours clear and golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is mild fruity and slight herbal. Acidic and dry hoppy. Bitter and dry. Slight acidic bitterness. Too sharp for my liking.

Cask conditioned - gravity dispense - Northampton BF. A brown coloured beer with a beige coloured head. The aroma is a bit farty and dry. The taste is malty. There is some fruit but it’s ordianry and thin. Disappointing because the Light Ale was lovely.
