Bottle 25 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a clear warm red with a pink head. Very intense raspberry aroma - sweet yet a little tart. Medium body, tart and intense raspberry flavours. I don’t really pick up the artificial sweeteners, luckily. Quite fresh with the tartness. 041009

Reddish coloured beer with small reddish coloured head and lots of carbonation. Fruity framboise aroma. Full palate. Finish is fruity sweet balanced with some bitterness. Ok.

25 cL bottle at DHVL Gardenparty and Beerfestival. Pours hazy deep red with a thick and pink head. Aroma is distinct acidic to citric raspberry fruity. Citric and fruity flavoured. Mild sweetness yet also a bit sticky. Lingering raspberry tart finish. Lasting raspberry impression.

Bottle sampled at Out Side Inn in Hong Kong. Vivacious body sour notes of rasp dominate. Good for a sip or two but lacks balance and is relaively uninteresting compared to other Framboises I’ve had.

Bottle at ’t Brugs Beertje. Pours a very dark cherry with a pinkish, finely bubbled head. Aroma is a sweetish cooking cherry. Medium body with mild carbonation. Ok fruit lambic.

(Bottle, BB 10/10/09) Pours a ruby body with a small pink head. Aroma of offensive spoiled fruit and harsh chemicals. Flavor of corn syrup and raspberry jam. Some of my friends are laughing as they observe the faces I am making while punishing myself through this beer.

Bottle @ ’t Brugs Beertje.
Pours clear red-golden with a nice, frothy, pink head. Great lacings. Aroma is sweet, but there is still good raspberries in there. Highish carbonation, fair mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, some slight elegant tartness still present. A touch of caramel and a sugary finish. This is actually quite drinkable and the stronger of the three Jacobins offerings I had in Brügge.
