Maria (3816), Thisted, Denmark Jul 16, 2008 Courtesy of Fonefan. The color is warm golden and the head is creamy. The aroma has notes of malt, sweetness and a light sourness. The flavour has sweetness, notes of malt, ripe fruits and a limited sourness, and to me it’s not much of a gueuze because of that... LawStudent09 (315), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA Jun 27, 2008 Thanks to Joebrew. Light clear golden pour with thin sparse head. Sweet nose with some apple and grape in the taste. badgerben (3001), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Jun 16, 2008 Courtesy of Joebrew. Copper color with no head. Grainy aroma. Slight, sweet grain flavor and a bit of tart/soured apple. This is almost like an aged amber ale. acrdz (4148), Pennsylvania, USA Jun 2, 2008 330ml bottle purchased at a shop and consumed on the station platform while waiting for a train. Sweet honey malt and dough and brown sugar in the nose. Tart wheat, bread, grains, etc, tasted - some light fruit and some dry cracked barley as well, but there is an unfortunate sourdough flavor that’s tough to get beyond. Not super sweet like some, but certainly not proper gueuze. Dried, punchy pears and nutrisweet round this one out. Blah. faroeviking (3955), Faroese Beer Republic union of, Denmark Apr 8, 2008 Bottled, vintage 1997. Hazy golden colour with floaties. Oxidized mouldy sweet aroma. Sweet oxidized bit mouldy fruity flavour.
