Boring and not flavored drink. Bright flavor not only light acidity and everything.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
25 cl bottle from Wine of Galilee in Tallinn (€ 1.69). BB 15.05.2015. Murky coppery colour, near clear; head big and off-white, lacing ok, retention not so good. Nose is white wine acidity, currants, caramel and honey, hay, cereals, wood - overall not very pleasant... Taste is very sour, kind of like low-sugar apple juice + lime juice, it’s got a lot of white wine acitity and a citrusy freshness, moderate sweetness and some bitter bites in the finish, also kind of woody dry. Body lighter side of medium, carbonation crisp. Not sure about this...

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Orange light haze. Dried apricots, some sweet malts, li light funk, barnyard on nose. Some sweetness, medium crisp acidity. Feels a bit murky, old leafy. Isn’t as crisp clear as I’d like.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
250ml bottle from apivo.ru. Pours dark orange with a rocky head that fades away. Aroma of lemon juice, champagne. Fruity sweet and sour taste. Notes of cherry. I'd drink this again. Shame it is so overpriced here (£2 for 0.25 l).

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
330ml bottle - BB2011/07, drunk 2014/08
Sweet caramelly aroma, fake honey-like, like a children’s breakfast cereal. Bright orange, brief frothy head. Fairly watery palate, nice sharp little twist to the retronasals. However, it’s a rather bland. Simple sweet malts. Ageing hasn’t helped the sourness at all, I guess it was paseurised. Dull, and nothing like what I know a geueze to be.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
West-Flemish ’capsulekensgeuze’ and therefore belonging to the lower edge of the geuze world, deep amber colour, aroma and taste sweet-sour, far less funky and far less complex than the old geuzes but even less complex and more bland than the ’capsulekensgeuzes’ made by Belle-Vue or Timmermans. Approach this as a thirst-quenching session beer, however, and it will still be quite okay.
