3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
250 ml bottle. Deep red color, pinkish head. Slightly sour, candy aroma. Blackberry and cherry flavor with a touch of malts in the finish. Medium-light body, medium-high carbonation. Not the most natural kriek Iíve had, but itís not cloyingly sweet. Better than some, though still a far cry from Cantillon.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
330ml bottle (K CM, Kammpi)
Deep red, fizzy pink head. Dark dark cherry aroma. Very simple modern kriek taste with a bit of a beery backdrop, but only slight sourness - barely a hint. Perfumey cherry finish, some paperiness too. Oddly, I disagree with comments about the artificiality of the fruit - I feel like Iím drowning in real cherries. Itís the beer that needs to be called into question, in particular its lambic nature. Easy to criticise, but actually goes down pretty easily. Too sweet - that goes without saying, surely?

Bottle @ ít Brugs Beertje.
Pours clear red-golden with a medium, creamy, pink head. Aroma of almonds, light sweet cherries; no tartness. Medium carbonation, okay mouthfeel. Very sweet flavour, light dryness, but almost no tartness. There may have been cherries here at some point.

25 cl bottle, bought in OOstende - shaed with Roger. Blood red color, pink head. Aroma is cherry, and kind of metallic. Flavor is sweet cherry and almond-essens. Almost too much, but I can drink it.
