Kriek Max has been enriched with 25% cherries for a fuller cherrytaste and presents itself at its best when served fresh & chilled.

gnoff (8007) - Mölndal, SWEDEN - MAR 25, 2008
(Draught at "De Roos ... La Rose", Brussels) On March 24, 2008. Shady pink to red color, lasting fluffy pink head. Very manly! Sweet cherry, almond and cherry pips scent, also sugar. Sweet, sugar, cherry, acidic after a while, some butterscotch taste. Sweet and acidic aftertaste. Moussy mouthfeel, low bitterness.

RoyceH (1196) - Hesperange, LUXEMBOURG - FEB 10, 2008
Bottle, Cambrinus, Brugge. Dark rich red, light red wine. Thin bubbly pink head. Nose is minimal, warm cherry, wheat? Malty and sweet. Mouth is a little sour bite, quite inoffensive, not much else. Little aftertaste is sweet, metallic. Hardly anything of anything here!

yngwie (14347) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - DEC 16, 2007
Bottle (3.4% ABV). Pours a dark red, clear body, with a small, dense, pinkish-white head. Almond, cherry, some sweetness and sourness in the aroma. Sweetish cherry flavor with almond and a hint of vanilla. Medium full body, slightly sticky in the mouth. Sweetish, yet sour and astringent finish. Quite nice low-alcohol beer, a bit too sweet to be quenching, but quite nice. Sure prefer this to the Jacobins Kriek. (071013)

Brix (633) - DENMARK - AUG 16, 2007
Tasted 2007-07-20. Fresh bottle, 25cl. Clear ruby coloured beer with pink head. Aroma of cherries, parfume - a bit sour and artificial. Ditto flavour-wise, but a little fuller. Not the best!

Tranquillity (1430) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - JUN 28, 2007
Yeah! Beer field trip in Köln turning into Maastricht. Red cherry colour. Quite sweet. Mellow berry aroma. Probably the best aspartam beer in the world.

Jerre (2747) - Waregem, BELGIUM - JUN 8, 2007
Bottle, 25cl. Reddish color with a pink head. Aroma sweet cherry. Thin to medium bodied. Taste is more a very industrial sweet kriek, this is not a good beer.

rauchbier (3637) - Isle Of Beer, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - MAR 12, 2007
Bottle, from Sainsburys. Deep cherry red, lasting pinky white head and moderate condition. Excessive fruity cherry syrup aromas with a distant citric tartness, sweet cherry with a slightly metallic edge and a gentle earthy bitterness in the mouth, quite short fruity sweet syrup in the finish with some lingering oiliness.

Papsoe (25079) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 4, 2007
(Bottle 25 cl) Clear, reddish amber colour with a creamy, pink head leaving laces. The initial tartness in the aroma is accompanied by cherries and marzipan. Light body with sweet cherry notes and a fairly distinct tartness. Comes with both artificial sweeteners and flavourings but manages to present itself as a pretty decent fruit lambic. 260107
