Kriek Max has been enriched with 25% cherries for a fuller cherrytaste and presents itself at its best when served fresh & chilled.

The first kriek after a long time. Starting sceptical getting a really nice, very cherryish beer which is a bit too sweet. Missing some more beer-like and bitter aromas but this one could be a perfect dessert finisher for a beer evening.

Deep ruby colour with rosé coloured creamy steady head and medium body. Nose of cherries. Taste of cherry stones, grass, sour morellos and juice. Easy and nice to drink, really quaffable, but it just lacks the typical Lambic-character.

Scopey (6659) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 5, 2013
Consumed at Breakfast time in a hotel in Brussels... It pours clear red with a thick light pink head. The nose is sweet cherry, artificial notes, sugar and Cherry Tunes. The taste is sweet cherry...... faint tanginess, Cherry Drops, cherryade, sugar and light metallic notes. Light-medium body, moderate carbonation and slightly sticky mouth-feel. A one-dimensional sweet cherry beer, but definitely not the worst out there!

i did NOT know this was jacobins? always thought this was mort subite or something? aah, well.. i needed 1 more tick... so yeah.. no 665 .. a kriek max ( the onley thing available at that bar i havnt had yet ) as expected, it pours pink, pink foam. scent is very cherry-ish. taste as well. its like you’ve made juice out of a cherrie. so yeah, this namle? its not lying ! i expected this to be sweet, like lindemans, but i dint even get sugary things. no lambic neither. just, and onley , cherries. it was hard to drink this and i couldn’t finish it neither. you get sick of this after one sip, REALY no beertaste, nothing, CHERRIES TILL YOU DROP well, at least, now comes the whale.. THE ultimate beer for me...

Bottle enjoyed somewhere in the middle of Belgium... Very sweet, very cherry, not sour at all (too bad) - but refreshing all around!

Bright red pour with a pink head. Sweet cherry candies on the nose. Very sweet and sugary, a hint of cough syrup, and Ludens cough drops. Tastes like cherry Lifesavers with a hint of sourness. Candy sweetness, mild cough syrup, and tons of sugar.

From the bottle. Deep cherry red, reddish, foamy head, cherries dominate the taste and smell, sweetness and a touch of sourness/bitterness. Not bad, not especially great. My wife loved it, me less so.
