Deep ruby red color, fluffy pink manly head. Sweet cherry pips and raspberry scent, sugary. Sweet, acidic, sour cherry taste. A bit lactic, also metallic hints. Moussy mouthfeel, low bitterness.

At the Rake with Reakt, 9th April 2008. Bright red with not too much head, this has a stonking aroma of black cherries. Flavour is similar but nicely balanced, not too sour, not too sticky sweet. A decent cherry kriek.

Ok, I don’t remember drinking this, which is probably a good thing, but sure enough the rate’s here in my phone. Was most likely on tap @ a pub somewhere, possibly The Rake as it follows some other ratings from there? Red with a pink head. Sweet and artificial all round with a bit of cherry cough syrup to boot and some almond/marzipan notes. It’s a bit one dimensional but c’mon it’s Jacobins, if you expect otherwise you’ll be sorely disappointed.

Bottle. Pours a clear, dark red body, with a small, dense, pinkish-white head. Cherryish nose, a bit flour-like, and sure sweetish. Sweet flavor as well, with cherries of course. Boring, actually. Medium full, sticky mouthfeel, and cherryish finish. Decent. (071013)
