Kul!

DAA; Pours reddish with a pink head. Aroma and taste is sweet, sour cherry. Body is light to medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is avarage. I kind of like cherries.

250ml bottle bought at Craftissmo in Tsim Sha Tsui East.

Cloudy, hazy dark ruby cherry colour with traces of yeast sediments; Less than one quarter finger head and cherry off-white foam which fades in 20 seconds; Good lacing with very slight carbonation; Fragrant sweet and tart aroma of ripe cherry flesh, with perfume, sugar, oaks, red wine, light malt and yeast; Strong sweet and equally tart taste of sour cherry, with malt, strong yoghurt lactic, sugar, strong tannic, wood barrels, light red wine and yeast; Light body, thin and slightly slick palate; Mouth feel is kriek limbic with a strong and fruity sour cherry influence. Sweetness is strong fresh fruitiness and very nicely balanced by yoghurty lactic tartness for a just-right palate. Strong presence of tannic and wood barrels, winey and yeasty. Nice! Hoppiness is no nose and moderate lemony taste. Quite strong tannic for abrupt, low astringent finish; Slightly dry after taste, very easy and quite crisp to mouth.

Comments: This one has a pretty lively and real ripe cherry aroma, a well balanced sweet and tart cherry taste, strong tannic wood barrel elements and overall slicker and wholesome palate. If the Quite well-made already, and if the sweetness can be tuned down a bit, this one will fly. A decent one!

0.25l bottle. A lovely deep warm red color, almost burgundy actually and it’s clear with a nice big and lasting pinkish head. Sweet and sticky fruity on the nose with a ton of sweet cherries, a whole lot of almond essence and some plain normal white sugar. According to the aroma this should be quite a sticky and sweet one. Well, not as sticky as I had thought, more thin and really watery actually. Thick and powerful on the sweet cherries though. It had a nice mouthfeel but it still manages to taste quite watery. The carbonation is really on the soft side. Old ripe strawberries and a little bit of hay in the aftertaste. Actually not horrible. 08.09.2013

Sample at SBWF. Sweet smell with almonds and cherries. Similar taste with sweet cherries. A sweet fruitbeer like Timmermans or similar.
