250 ml bottle, not sure where I got it, possibly from Matkroken Stokka. BB date 26.03.14. ABV is 4.5%. Deep red colour, small off-white / pinkish head. Strong aroma of sour cherries, almond essence and marzipan. Moderately sour, fairly sweet and very fruity flavour, with loads of cherries and almond essence. Would like some more acidity and less residual sugar.

Clear ruby colour, small pink tinged head. Aromas of cherry jam and apple cider vinegar. The taste is pretty much exactly the same, with a slight woody/nutty note as well. Light bodied. Not bad, but the cherry flavour is more like Dr Pepper than fresh cherries.

330mL bottle from International Beer Collector. BB 17 12 16 Looks the part - creamy pink-tinged head atop a dense almost purple sort of body. Reasonably intense nose - almond, cherry pip, sour cherry, old wood/oak, faint cheesy/sweaty sort of note. Lively carbonation, light bodied, palate starts with a good wallop of mouth pucking acetic acidity, leading into a more fizzy sherbet-like citric twang, but ultimately, it’s the sweetness that dominates overall. Get a big smack of sweet cherry juice upfront. Paves the way for vinous red fruit notes, tannic cherry stone hints & that faint edge of cheesy funk & spice. Like the flavours, would love to try it unsweetened.

12 oz bottle poured. Cherry red color with almost no head. I see nothing offensive here. Made the mistake of reading reviews before trying this, but have never let that change my opinion. Soft, mixed berry aroma. Flavor is a nicely soured red cherry, with a slightly sweet jam finish. 5/10 on souress, which is a nice amount here. Juicy cherry, and drinks nice. I love it.

Single bottle from Muckey’s. Poured into a tulip. A very nice reddish brown color. Frothy pink head. Pleasant earthy-fruit aromas. Sour cherry flavor. A little sweet but otherwise quite drinkable and refreshing.

This was poured into a pokal. The appearance was a hazy burnt amber color with a foamy white finger’s worth of head. Spider web messy lacing. The smell started with some nice tart cherry up front. Light woodiness. Slight vanilla. Warms into some subtle sweet cherry. The flavor takes in the same qualities as the aroma. Mildly sweet but has a nice level of sour with the cherry acidity coming through as it should. Quick semi-sweet to sour cherry flows into the aftertaste. Dry semi-sticky semi-sour to sweet finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionability about it since the sour isn’t too wild in this one. Tame enough, but just enough sweetness to really let this one flow right on over my tongue. Even the acidity hits just right. Overall, damn nice lambic, would love to have again.

Sweet and sour cherry and plum. Pours a dark opaque plum color with a thin for white head. Mild sweetness at the start that quickly goes to a tart cherry flavor. Dry finish. Very nice.

Pours a fairly clear dark ruby color, topped with a fair off-white head, pinkj undertone. Nicely lasting. Quite soury aroma, vinegar and cellar-like. Missing the fruity notes, sadly. Taste is sweet and soury, nice soury cherry feel, though not so fruity as one would expect. Fresh and failry light. Nice summer refreshment. Decent.

Bottle. Pours a clear dark red with a medium-grained, shallow, mashed-potato, red-orange head. Nose is cherry, wild rose, red wine vinegar, sumac, and rye cracker. Really tart up front, with a definite sour cherry bite; there’s a lot of fruit vinegar to it as well, and a lactic savory edge like Muenster cheese. The sourness is balanced somewhat by cherry pit and skin bitterness. A little thin on the finish, shading towards Sweet-Tart. It’s all right.
