23/II/13 - 25cl bottle @ De Heeren van Liedekercke (Denderleeuw) - BB: 27/VII/13 (2013-182)

Clear ruby red beer, big aery off-white head, pretty stable, non adhesive. Aroma: very sweet, sugary, cherry candy ("poepkes"), bit of chloride. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: very sweet, sugary, cherry candy, little lemony sour, bitter touch. Aftertaste: sugary, cherry candy, little bitter, some chloride, bit dry. Despite the enormous sweetness, it’s not cloying. That’s a good thing I guess.

Draught @ 3 Små Rum. Pours clear ruby red with a small pinkish white head that quickly dissipates without leaving any trace. Smell is very sweet with cherries, hay, lemon juice, lemon zest, cherry pits, burnt sugar, leather and clover flowers. Taste is extremely sweet and metallic with cherries, cherry pits, processed sugar, almonds and hints of lemon juice and grass. Mouthfeel is very tiny tart, sickeningly  sweet and light bodied. Finish is sweet and tiny sour with cherries, lemon juice, grass and lemon zest. Way too sweet for me.

Draught at 3 Små Rum. Reddish beer with à small head. Sweet cheery aroma, fruity, berries. Sweet cherry flavor, fruity, sugary. Too sweet.

Colour is red, pink. Head is light pink, lasting. Aroma of almond, cherries, lightly acidic. Flavor starts sweet and acidic, finish heavy acidic. Dry texture and moderate astringent.

Bottle. Creamy white good fully lasting head. red colour. Light malty and hoppy aroma. Nice kriek/marcipan notes. MOderate sweet and light bitter dry strong kriek flavor. Average finish. Syruply palate. Nice.

Served as Jocobins rouge, so I hope this is the same beer. It was red with virtually no head. It smelled and taste like tart cherries, with hardly any other lambic characteristics. Very drinkable, but seemed a little bit one dimensional.

from beerplanet.eu. was 3+ years past its best before when they shipped it to me, but it’s a fruit lamic, it’ll probably be fine. ALC IS 4.5%! bbf 3-8-2007 sampled 15-7-2011. clear , color is somewhere between brown and red.smooth large pink head. loads of fresh cherries in the aroma, distinct fruity sour note from the lambic, some sweetness, but balanced with the lambic sourness. does not appear old in any way. Flavor is cherries, sour lambic base, ends quite sour, flavor is lots of cherries , also a slighlt citric sourness. refreshingly tart, still a little too sweet for my taste, but absolutely drinkable.

Bottle. Dark maroon. Pinkish head. Nose of mild basement, sweet cherries, pie crust and light chocolates. Taste is sweet cherry and fruit skin. No funk or tartness.
