3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Ethereal (2399) - Los Angeles, California, USA - JUN 1, 2008
At the Rake with Reakt, 9th April 2008. Bright red with not too much head, this has a stonking aroma of black cherries. Flavour is similar but nicely balanced, not too sour, not too sticky sweet. A decent cherry kriek.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 reakt (948) - Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 1, 2008
Ok, I don’t remember drinking this, which is probably a good thing, but sure enough the rate’s here in my phone. Was most likely on tap @ a pub somewhere, possibly The Rake as it follows some other ratings from there? Red with a pink head. Sweet and artificial all round with a bit of cherry cough syrup to boot and some almond/marzipan notes. It’s a bit one dimensional but c’mon it’s Jacobins, if you expect otherwise you’ll be sorely disappointed.

Bottle. Pours a clear, dark red body, with a small, dense, pinkish-white head. Cherryish nose, a bit flour-like, and sure sweetish. Sweet flavor as well, with cherries of course. Boring, actually. Medium full, sticky mouthfeel, and cherryish finish. Decent. (071013)

Tap: Bloody red with a pink Head. Very sweet fruity(syrup), cherry. Hardly any sour. Medium body & sticky palate. Not a true lambic, still a nice one ("in the fake" category) Could drink my 25 cl!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 rane (778) - Nibe, DENMARK - MAY 15, 2007
Bottle. Red beer with red big head. Aroma very dominated by cherries. Taste sweet in the beginning, then sour with cherry taste. Maybe a little one sided, but I like the style.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Maria (9559) - Thisted, DENMARK - MAY 5, 2007
Beautiful, dark red with a huge, pink and creamy head. The aroma has nice notes of cherry and marzipan, and so does the flavour. It has a nice almond-like bitterness and a limited sweetness. It’s a nice kriek! 2045
