COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Lav karbonering. Flaske nr. 06262

It is a beautiful red golden ale. The aroma is a great enjoyment of malt and dark dried fruits like raisins, prunes and figs. Taste-wise it is a little different than other typical barley wines. It is indeed very malty and sweet and hides thereby the tingling sensation as the alcohol very often give in a barley wine. It is like a dry port wine with plenty of fruit flavor and a light taste of mild licorice and tobacco. Long distinct aftertaste with great vinousity. It will be an elegant companion for desserts that are not too screeching sweet, maybe something with a little sour berry fruits to offset its sweetness level. I enjoy it now as a ’stand-alone’ ale and think it’s quite tasty and brewed perfectly.
