COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Unfiltered; bottle.
Ingredients: Barley malt; wheat; apple juice; oats; orange peel; corriander; hops.
Bramley Wit is brewed according to Belgian wheat beer traditions, with a northern touch of Bramley apples. The appearance is slightly cloudy with a creamy head. The flavour contains coriander, cloves, apples, as well as hints of oranges. The taste is refreshing and slightly acidic with a low bitterness. Enjoy at 5-7 degrees Centigrade.

(Bottled, 0.75l, 4.6% ABV) Hazy yellow color with a very small head. Quite mild aroma of wheat, ginger and coriander. Moderately acidic, wheaty flavor with quite strong coriander-spiciness, some lemon and orange, and a fermented-fruity finish. Medium-bodied, quite refreshing, foamy-carbonated palate. A clean, easy, basic witbier. The apples are not really evident in the flavor, but probably contribute to the moderately high acidity. Nothing to lose your sleep for, but living here in the land of the near-prohibition, I’m quite pleased to find this from the local supermarket.

Brown 75cl bottle, best before 22 Dec 2007, drank in the company of Chad (AWolfAtTheDoor), my first ever BA houseguest. The beer was almost 2 weeks ’out of date’. I poured the beer in one go, but into three glasses, the beer getting cloudier with each glass, the third glass getting all the sediment from the bottle base, I took that glass. My Corsendonk tulip glass had a pale lemon/yellow heavily clouded beer with a very small white head that left straight away, as it did on the other two glasses I had poured. The aroma was all apple and yeast, my wife thought I had given her a cider until she had a sip. As the beer warmed a sweeter toffee apple smell took over from the cooking apple style smell at the begining. The beer was lively, spritzy and tangy. The flavours were of lemon and grapefruit, refreshing more than tart or cheek suckingly sour. There was some staying power within the mouthfeel and nothing nasty turned up to ruin the aftertaste. Not bad at all, different but not a bad beer. A hot summers day drink, not an English dark winters evening beer, which is when I tried it.

The "sex in a canoe" version of witbier. Avoid. (This beer rating was imported from FB and unfortunately lacks any further comments.)

330 ml bottle @ home. Rated @ 24.9.2009.
Pours a slightly hazy yellow colour. Witbier-like on the nose with citrus, wheat and mild spices. Same elements on the flavour too where the citrus comes through a bit more. Notes of flowers. Light bodied, watery mouthfeel and decent carbonation. Refreshing.

Yellow beer with faint head; refreshing aroma of mainly citrus and wheat; light to medium body, quite high carbonation; flavor is also very refreshing of tangy citrus with hints of sour apples. Ok witbier that doesn´t fall that much behind the classics of the style in terms of refreshness and overall drinkability, but maybe in complexity.

330 ml bottle. 4.6%. Finland.
Hazy pale yellow colour with small white head. Citrus, sour apple, wheat, coriander and spices in aroma. Quite sour flavour with citrus, wheat, coriander and spices. Quite nice Witbier with sour flavour, probably from the apples.
