Mild pleasant aroma of caramel and chocolate. Golden brown appearance, clear liquid. Great taste starting with sweetness followed by a light bitterness. Average carbonation, fine foam, medium thin-creamy texture. Overall a successful brown ale by Carlsberg, that is probably rated a bit to low because its brewed by them.

Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass brownish, small head. Starts mild, malty, modest dry. Modest spicy. Some metallically notes. Finish well balanced. Not bad.

Bottle. 6.0%. Best before 01.11.15. Pours a clear reddish/brown, with a creamy light tan head. Good lacing. Sweetish aroma with a boiled potato note, settling to ’generic boiled vegetable’ after a while. Fruity and malty notes as it warms. Flavour is sweet and cloyingly fruity. Malts. Same finish. Feels a bit watery. Slightly oily palate. Overall too sweet and cloying. 28.07.15.

Clear deep brown body with a beige head that reduces to a fully covering film, ok lacing. Moderate aroma of lightly roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, brown sugar and faint fruits. Quite strong flavour of roasted malt, chocolate, mild coffee, faint fruits, and brown sugar and burnt sugar in the back. Light sweet taste and a moderate to light bitter long-lasting finish. Rather thin body, dry and softly carbonated. Not too bad!

Red brown color with a white top. Aroma filled with coffee and caramel. The hops taste and carbonation is low. But in a good way that matches the rest of the beer. Overall a nice brown ale

The beer is beautiful. The color is deep dark ruby red combined with chestnut. Really beautiful. The only thing missing is a thick creamy layer of foam. The thick layer of foam is only present just after pouring. It has the color of almond. The smell of the beer is devine. It is rather mild, the smell could have been a little stronger, to make it even better. There is a mild aroma of roasted barley. There are also some dark bitter aromas, which appear to be coffee and chocolate. This conclusion can be clearly made after tasting. The first thing you taste is chocolate. Nice, dark chocolate rich of cacao. When swallowing the beer, a coffee bitternes fils the back of your mouth. The beer is soooo good. If you are a fan of dark beers like porter and stout, you wil like this one. Not a lot of beers have the rich aroma’s they claim on their labels. But this beer has really coffee and chocolate in it, clearly present, but not overwhelming. This balance between clearly having those favors but keep them mild enough to be only complementary is hard to achieve, but in this case it is done perfectly.

Nice golden red color. Aroma like wet leather – in a good way. Burnt taste with hints of coffee.

Piwo, po którym spodziewać się mogłem wszystkiego... Nic o nim nie wiedziałem, o browarze również... Brązowa barwa, z niewielką, kremową pianą. Pachnie przyjemnie - herbatniki, karmel i nieco orzechów. Smak potwierdza aromaty. Do tego trochę paloności, lekkie wysycenie. Całkiem przyjemne! Bez szału, ale przyzwoicie!

Pleasent aroma with notes of malt, caramel, bread. Low on hops. Clear reddish brown colour with a pale brown head that lingers. Very malty medium sweet taste with light bitterness and medium acid. A fairly balanced taste. Medium body with a slick texture, average carbonation.
