Bottle. Dark Brown light head. Very hoppy aroma. Full taste both roasted malt sweetnes and bitternes. Notes of dried plum, Dark Wood, Brown sugar, cacao powder, licorice. Medium bitternes in aftertaste.

750 ml bottle. A very good Brown Ale. Not too heavy, but clear taste of chocolate and caramel malt. This is definitely my favorite brown ale!!

Mahogany brown. Thick beige diminishing head. Cocoa nose. Milk chocolate flavour. A little hoppiness is present too. A bit sugary mouthfeel. Medium bitterness.

Nice chocolaty roast aroma.
Red amber, low creamy head, small bubbles. Strong chocolate and caramel flavors - quite nice actually. Creamy texture, medium body. Best "Jacobsen" so far.

Bottle. Clear red/brown colour with medium creamy off-whitemostly diminishing head. Roasted malty aroma. Sweet flavor of caramel. A little bitterness. Oily palate. Very nice Brown ale.

On tap. Pours a murky, brown colour with a slight reddish hue, and modest tan head. Aroma has mostly a nice roasted character, with some great coffee notes. Taste is robust and heavy, lots of coffee, complemented by hoards of nut. Very nice bitter finish with a slight alcohol touch. Great!

(Draught@Kaisla, sampled 2010-03-25) Very dark brown with a small, firm and lacy head. Aroma of coffee and sourish malt. Coffee and lots of milk chocolate in the flavor, with a touch of sour malt and roastiness. Medium to full body, smooth CO2. A balanced and well-made, sweetish-chocolatey brown ale without surprises.
