COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

750 ml bottle. A very good Brown Ale. Not too heavy, but clear taste of chocolate and caramel malt. Not too sweet, and gives a semi-dry aftertaste that was well received by my stomach.....

Tasted from the tap on the 10/02/2016. I will never forget this beer because I taste it in the Carlsberg Bar at Copenhagen. Not for the taste, the aroma or the global sensations. Next one please!

40 cl from tap@Phister, Vanløse in Jacobsen glass@approx 6 degrees C (too cold) Pours dark brown, almost black with a medium white head with low retention and some clotting . Aroma of roasted malt and caramel malt. Taste of the same malts but with a depth of chocolate and liquorice thankfully without becoming too sweet. Medium mouthfeel and carbonation. Well balanced but not very spectacular brew.

Medium karbonering.

(75 cl bottle @ Carlsberg Museum) Poured at fridge temperature into original Jacobsen glassware. Pours a clear dark copper with one finger tan head that fades leaving film and lace. Decent regeneration. Aroma is nutty with notes of toasted malt and hints of chalk. There’s also a slightly off tart hint somewhere in there. Oily texture, soft carbonation, medium body and a finish that lingers. Flavour is on the slightly sweet side for the style. There is a slightly minerallic or metallic note in the taste.

How: Bottle. Appearance: Dark brown colour beer, with small not long lasting white / bit brown head. Aroma: Caramel, dark chocolate, cocoa beans, rosted. Taste: light to medium sweetness. Palate: medium body, soft carbonation, oily to sticky texture. Overall: tasteful brown beer, strong taste and aroma, would recommend this beer with small good dark chocolate bar, tastes will complement each other.
