4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750 ml bottle. A very good Brown Ale. Not too heavy, but clear taste of chocolate and caramel malt. Not too sweet, and gives a semi-dry aftertaste that was well received by my stomach.....

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Copper colour with a tan head. Aroma of caramel and a taste of brown bread and caramel. The sweetness is rather cloying, with little bitterness to balance it. Not a very interesting beer, but quite drinkable,

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Fine Foods in CHP. Pours coppery brown with a beige head. Aroma is primarily chocolate. Or cacao. Med minus body. Favor is roasty, nutty malt with some chocolate aspects. Hop, but not sure what. It’s not undry, and it is bitter, but somehow it isn’t top hole. Drinkable. But not by choice.

On tap @ the brewery. Light mahogany brown body, small off-white head. Aroma is roasted nuts, brown bread, straw, caramel and hints of bread yeast and cereals. Taste is caramel, brown bread, nuts, nougat and hints of grains, straw and cereals. Medium body, medium to high carbonation. Very drinkable and tasty brown ale. The big guys can actually brew good stuff if they just can be bothered.
