3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 OleR (4247) - Oslo, NORWAY - SEP 29, 2008
Bottle from Fine Food, Kastrup. A bright amber colored beer. Dense, nice-looking beige head. Beautiful Pilsner aroma; light sweet biscuity malts, floral and fresh fruity hops. Taste has a fine malt profile balanced by noble bittering hops. Notes of toffee. Clean mouthfeel. Medium body. Well-made and balanced.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 larsga (5324) - Oslo, NORWAY - SEP 24, 2008
Medium coarseish offwhite head. Amber body. Strong harmonic aroma of papery caramel with notes of modelling clay. Dryish kind of sharp papery caramel taste dominates all the way through the aftertaste. Light and mild mouthfeel somewhat obscured by the sharpness of the taste. Minty grassy notes and some fruity straw can be made out. Dry papery caramel aftertaste settles in the mouth, making me want to rinse it. If this were a little less sharp and papery it would be a nice beer. Interestingly, when the beer warms the sharp papery taste becomes less prominent (without disappearing), making the beer more balanced, and citrus notes appear. Becomes more delicate, too. Bitterish aftertaste. (0.75l bottle from Fine Foods at Kastrup airport.)

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Pinball (9656) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - AUG 26, 2008
bottle, as extra økologisk. (could this be a new version of the beer, given some ingredients probably changed)
great pilsener aroma, quite strong, some hops. pours clear golden, yellowy-white head. flavor is hops, beer tast5es, faint spices, great for a pilsener.
palate is super soft, almost buttery.
overall i was thinking what a nice beer, not as i remember it. it’s so well done. i wonder if the change to ecologic also changed some aspects of the flavor.
