esox (90), Oulu, Finland Jul 28, 2008 Draught at Pub Graali, Oulu. A bit hazy, orange beer with a medium dense head. Aroma has surprisingly intensive berry notes and sweetness of caramel malts. Finish is great caramel-malty with medium, woody hops. Flavor is sweetish malty/caramel. Medium bitterness n the finish. Smooth mouthfeel and sof carbonation. Ok long finish with clear berry notes and caramel. Quite strange, but very pleasant pils with a distinctive character. Sahlholdt (275), Copenhagen, Denmark May 7, 2008 golden with white foamy head, nice aroma with some notes of berries. very drinkable and probably the best danish pilsener at the time of this rating. bager (2027), Copenhagen N, Denmark Oct 6, 2007 Bottle. Clear golden coloured with a rather large white foamy head. Quite good - notes of buckthorn, malt, grain, berries, citrus and a hint of hops. Lacks a bit of hops. Ungstrup (11031), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jun 5, 2006 An orange beer with a thin lazinge white head. The aroma is sweet with distinct notes of the seaberries (havtorn) - but not the aroma of a pilsener. The flavor is sweet fruity and again with a very nice and very distinct notes of seaberries - it seems as if the seaberries gives it a very soft mouthfeel - inspite of a high carbonation. sayravai (3037), Helsinki, Finland Apr 7, 2008 (Draught@Amsterdam, Helsinki) Clear, deep golden with a smallish-medium, very lacy head. Aroma of pine-grassy hops, and sweetish, honey-toffeeish malt. Grassy-piney, aromatic-hoppy flavor with strong backing bready-toffeeish maltiness, and some buttery-diacetylic berry hints. Medium-bodied, quite thick palate with smooth carbonation. A balanced and enjoyable pils, that remains interesting despite the clean feel. Nice.
