Clear medium brown - black color with a average, frothy, good lancing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, chocolate, notes of smoke. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily - watery, carbonation is soft. (160508)

Jul 1, 2008 Bottle at Århus Ølfestival. Black body with a ruby hue and a small beige head. Some smoke in the aroma, along with chocolate alcohol and and roasted malt. The smoke gives a nice touch to the flavor as well, with some roasted flavors, chocolate and coffee bitterness fulfulling it. A little alcohol detected too. Almost full-bodied, with a long, roasted finish with chocolate, some dried fruits and alcohol. A nice experiment, where the little smoke lifted it from a 3.3-3.4 to a 3.7. (080516)

Jun 14, 2008 (Bottle 33 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Slightly hazy dark brown with a tint of red and a creamy, beige head. Aroma of smoke, tar and burned malt - this is serious business. Medium body, distinct burned malt and tar notes. Very burned malt bitter finish. 290508

Jun 2, 2008 Sample at Aarhus beerfestival. Nice head with good duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, chocolate and licorice. Bitter finish.
