COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Black and completely foam left porter. The impression is somewhat boring to look at, but the taste is very mellow coffee, English licorice and good hard roasted malt. Delicious all-round porter with emphasis on licorice.

Bottle shared during the RBESG 2014 London Grand Tasting - Moncada Brewery. Pours dark brown with a creamy tan head. Good stuff, with pleasant smoke, chocolate, well roasted malts, some dirt. Great balance. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Nice chocolate notes on the finish, minimal alcohol warmth, quick roast. Again, nicely balanced beer. Solid.

Bottle (Grand Tasting RBESG 2014): Literally black, mid-sized and slowly collapsing tanned head; sweet toasty and fruity (raisins, port) nose; quite solid sweet flavour with a certain bitterness; nearly full bodied and pretty soft; vanilla, toasted malt and caramel in the robust sweet finish. Good and sweet...
