Commercial Description:
Original Dark Lager is brewed according to J.C. Jacobsen's original recipe. The colour is chestnut. It has a Hersbrucker hop aroma while the floor malted Munich malt adds a caramel character. The carbonisation is gentle and the hop bitterness is soft. Enjoy at 6-8º.

Simple yet effective beer, its malts has great character of caramel and plum flavors. Sweet malts with light molasses. An improvement to what can be done

The aroma is molasses, dark malt, and toffee. The appearance is red brown with an average head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is smooth but thin. Overall it’s not impressive but it’s good.

1 pint 10 oz big bottle into a 20 ounce glass stein. Wonderful dark amber-reddish pour with an off white fluffy head that fades in a minute or two. Medium to heavy mouthfeel. Flavorful. Mild, not overbearing, and very smooth. No aftertaste., With a 5.8% alcohol level in the big bottle it was also a bit dizzying. Overall a refreshing brew but a $6 a bottle I won’t be buying it regularly.

Bottle. Small tan head that quickly dissipated with poor amount of lacing, transparent, ruby hue, and visible carbonation. Malty, caramel, lightly hoppy and semi-sweet aroma. Sweet, malty and caramel flavor. No hoppy taste. Tingly mouhtfeel. Medium body. Better of this style out there IMO.

Pours clear, brown, moderate fluffy head. Aroma of roasted malts. Pleasant, understated, roated flavor. Clean finish. Pretty text book, but not bad.

yeah, poured a hazy brown hue with a off-white head. Aroma was a mix of bread, dirt and a almost astringent quality. Flavor was initially sweet with caramel notes. It grew almost sour, never unbearable, but it was unpleasant. no thanks

Courtesy Santos, the Schenck rep for Knightly. Clear amber with a small tan cap. Nose of whole wheat biscuits, light toasted caramel, wet wood, dirt. Same flavors plus cocoa powder, skunk, graininess, subtle vomit. Medium/light body, balanced carbonation. No thanks.
