3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
75cl bottle. It is a nice dunkel, its colour is rather brown, than black. Foam is quickly disappering but creamy. Tastes also creamy with hazelnut and some hop, almost no sweetness, just as i like. Light bodied, but oily. You can feel some earth in track.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
75 cl bottle @ home. Rated on 20.02.2009
Aroma is sweet and malty with syrupy notes and roastiness. Flavour is sweetish with roasted malt, syrupy notes, hints of herbs and licorice. Sticky palate. Decent, feels a bit bulky.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Pours hazy dark copper brown with airy off-white head. Clear, sweet aroma of malt, caramel and fruit. Bitter, hoppy onset, leading to a sweetish, malty flavour, ending in a dry, coffe-like finish. Complex and interesting, but rather watery and somewhat unbalanced. OK.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
19/I/13 - 75cl bottle @ RBBWG 2013 - BB: 25/V/12 (2013-59) Thanks to BelgBeerGeek for sharing the bottle!
Clear copper red to amber beer, no head. Aroma: very nutty, toast, lots of plains malts, caramel. MF: lots of carbon, light to medium body. Taste: very malty, some caramel, toast, bit sugary. Aftertaste: caramel, bit hoppy, dry some toast. Meh, not bad, but pretty boring.

Slightly hazy amber colour, off-white head. Malty aroma, caramel. Sweet flavour, caramel, some raisins. Sweet finish, raisins and malt.
Nice to drink a Danish beer that hasn’t been made @ De Proef for a change.

1.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 3/20
Bottle courtesy of BelgBeerGeek, thanks! Clear reddish amber color, almost flat. Aroma of dusty grapes and plums. Taste: well, it’s not dark, and it’s not a lager. And since there’s another beer with the same name, it’s not original either. Three strikes!

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
75cl bottle sample @ RBBWG 2013, courtesy of BelgBeerGeek.
Cuivrée-acajou, col beige moyen.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Thx. to BelgBeerGeek / Vincent. For this beautifully spaded & apparently 750 ml. bottle of pallet cleanser which I sampled @ RBBWG 2013 (sorry, I couldn’t leave that joke :) I still find dark lagers hilarious, when I hear a bear described as dark, I think black or even dark brown. Not like slightly darker amber but I suppose that for many beer drinkers this makes sense but I am still not fully getting it. Pours dark amber (woohoo)… Smell is a tad oxidized, lager yeast, lager caramel, some sugar with a touch of herbs. Taste is a bit oxidized, sugar, touch bit burned caramel, lager yeast, mellow, caramel lager, bit too cold (probably my bad, I am sorry). Medium to light. Its doable, apparently brewed after an recipe by J.C. Jacobsen which would be cool but such claims are usually nonsense.
