2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
0.355l bottle. Pours a pale golden body with a thin quickly fading white head. Aroma is, yeah, hints of saaz-hops with thin citrus and grapefruit hints hidden in there. Body is light and somewhat watery and the carbonation is lively. Notes of orange zest, slightly citric and floral. Has a quite watery finish with a slightly dry aftertaste. A bit to watery and dull but still quite drinkable. Would like to have the original version and compare as I suspect this will be a bit more potent.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
I was a bit skeptical about this one, after having the Jacobsen Extra 4.5% yesterday, but luckily the saaz blonde is in a completely different league. The body is medium golden with a tiny, fizzy, fully diminishing, white head that doesn’t leave any lacing. The aroma on the other hand is lovely: flowers, fruits, spices, yeast, citrus, honey, and is there even a hint of banana? The aromas are a bit weak, I would love to have more of these! The taste is sweet and ever so slightly bitter, with flavours similar to the aromas. Unfortunately the palate does not fit the aromas and flavours: the body is too light and thin, almost watery, with an abrupt finish. Moderate carbonation. [33 cl bottle, ICA, Hasle, Oslo]

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle from my local groucery store. Fully diminishing blond head. Deep gold colored body. Low aroma level. Some honeyed malts and a hint of apple juice. Rather sweet-flavored. Sappy fruits, sugary and buttery malts. Not much of the promised spices and hops is detectable. Light in body. Slick mouthfeel. Short sweetish malt finish. Unexciting all over.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours well with a nice head. The saaz comes to its right here, though I think the taste is a bit too metal. And the beer suffers from the "downgrade" to 4,5% to be allowed in norwegian stores, Still a nice blonde beer, at least for the price compared to others here in Norway.
