COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Saaz Blonde is brewed according to the Belgian tradition but with Czech Saaz hops. It has a light colour with a blonde head. The flavour is fruity, contrasted by the dryness of angelica, clove and coriander. The aroma is rounded by a pine needle character from the Saaz hops. The finish has a moderate bitterness. Enjoy at 5-7 degrees Celsius.

bottle @ friends. Appearance: pours golden with good white foam and lacing. aroma/taste: barley, grass, orange, spices (coriander), fruits (banana?) and some floral hints. palette: medium carbonation, medium body, some caramel sweetness, low top medium bitterness, average duration and an oily texture. Overall: nice but not exceptional blonde

330ml bottle from Tesco - Amber orange body with a moderate light beige head. Aromas of light honey, floral, light fruit and a hint of orange. Taste has a hint of banana, hints of yeast, light pepper and vanilla. Alcohol is quite well hidden, with a smooth mouthfeel. Not bad to say where it comes from.

Bottle from Tesco. Pours golden with little head. Quite a dry lager but easier drinking than its strength. It's ok

500ml bottle purchased from Copenhagen Airport duty free shop. Clear dark golden appearance with average white head. Aroma has grainy honey malts, with a touch of yeasty banana esters and earthy Saaz hops. Taste is medium sweet with a mild hop bitterness and a surprisingly light bodied and watery palate for the ABV. Nothing really to write home about.

330 ml bottle @ Bodils Kro, Skagen. Clear, golden body with a big, creamy off-white head. Mild aroma of pale malt and spices with floral notes. Smooth and easy flavor, light malty sweetness, some spices and low bitterness. Medium body and a bit short in aftertaste. Nice and easy.

Bottle from Tesco. It’s Carlsbergh *braces self*. Nose is strawberry, Belgian yeast, leading to acrid metallic notes. Taste is strawberry, honey, mango touch of a stale note in the dry finish. Lots of clove, lots of corriander. The finish after a few moments is terrible, watery, stale, and tastes faintly of carrot in a deeply odd way. This is a baffling beer, why have Carlsberg made it? It has a ludicrous one note Belgian taste leading to stale clunking international larger tastes. Did anyone really want to know what a Belgian blonde mixed with larger would be.
