zappafan99 (352), Rock Hill, South Carolina, USA May 3, 2008 Updated: May 15, 2008 1st thought..champagne beer. Very crisp and clean with a sugary sweetness. None of the cherry or dates of most Belgiums. Almost a cross between a German Pilsner and a Belgium sugar beer. The clove actually opens my sinuses. Palate falls apart a bit.2nd thought ...Almost need someone to help me finish this overly candied sweet beer.

Dark gold in colour with fairly strong carbonation. Aromas of sweet pale malts, coriander, wheat, tropical flowers, and a hint of banana. More sweet malts in the mouth, along with some mild spices, booze, a bit of wood and sweet grasses. Light bodied, with some moderate (yet focused) bitterness. Not overly complex, but fairly drinkable. BeerFanDan17 (447), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA Nov 20, 2008 Very average but tasty saaz blonde. Unique blend of flavors--cream and light spice. Pours light brown with a frothy head. corby112 (314), philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 20, 2008 Pours a clear golden orange color with a foamy white head. Very bland aroma with slight earthy hop presence. Nice citrus hops up front with crisp golden fruit ( apple, pear) and alcohol. Subtle hop notes last throughout with a slightly dry finish. terrybail (212), London, Ontario, Canada Oct 28, 2008 750ml bottle from the LCBO
