TBone (5116), Pori, Finland Oct 5, 2008 (Bottled 75 cl).
Bottle from Kastrup Airport. Copper color, small white head. Metallic, a bit spicey and malty-fruity nose. Alcoholic, lightly fruity, a bit plastic, but reasonably ok. Similar to Leffe Blonde. oh6gdx (6334), Vaasa, Finland Oct 4, 2008 Bottled. Golden colour, small off-white head. Aroma is hops, toffee, spices and some hints of wood and anise. Flavour is spices, alcohol, toffee and some herbal notes. Beershine (1440), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Sep 27, 2008 Bottle. Coppery golden, clear, foamy white head. A slight skunkiness taints underlying Saaz and spritzy herbal character. Odd, fruity aroma. Very fizzy, high carbonation. Refreshing, but with a strange flavor profile. Herbal, fruity, with sweet grain finish immediately preceded by scattered hoppiness. Never comes together. Oakes (6979), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Sep 25, 2008 Lightly rocky white head atop a golden-amber body. The aroma is alcoholic with lots of nail polish. Vague herbal hop. Sweet flavour, still with some nail polish plus hints of icing sugar and sickly caramel malt. Quite spritzy. Only vaguely drinkable, and altogether unimpressive. Eructoblaster (1266), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Sep 21, 2008 Bottle - 750ml. Limpid golden body with average carbonations and a fair white frothy head. Its robust malty/hoppy aroma acrries sweet and flowery hints. Alcohol is also detectable. Taste is a way too sweet and leaves a bad alcohol aftertaste. This truly tastes like some East European rocketfuels. Nothing to enjoy here...
