Hildigöltur (5051), København Ø, Denmark Mar 11, 2008 Bottled. Deep chestnut coloured with a small rim of foam, which is not on the Swedish version. The aroma is more oaky, vinous and fruity than the Swedish version and with slightly less prunes and caramel notes. Sweet (less sweet than the Swedish version though) flavour with overripe fruits, oak and caramel. It has a woody dryness towards the finish which makes it more balanced and less cloying than the Swedish version. Medium bodied. Low to medium carbonation level. Decent and better than the Swedish version, but still far from being worth the ridiculous price.
Habanero (446), Tranbjerg, Denmark May 17, 2008 A very nice bottle. Pours deep amber with a tiny off-white head. Nose of caramel, malt, vanilla and notes of alcohol. Sweet flavour of oak, dried fruits, vanilla and other spices.
Full to medium bodied. Slightly alcoholic finish.
Thomas_E (4814), Copenhagen, Denmark May 7, 2008 Clear deep reddish colour with a small off white head. Fruity, vinous and quite "oaky" aroma. Sweet, dark fruity flavor with oak notes. Sweet, dry and light dusty finish. fonefan (4062), Ulfborg, Denmark Apr 6, 2008 Bottle. 375ml [Tasting @ Ølbaren, Copenhagen]. Clear medium amber color with a virtually none appearance, virtually none lacing, fully diminishing, head. Aroma is light to moderate wood - oak, vanilla, port - sherry, plum, vintage. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a average to long duration and a dry finish. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - syrupy, carbonation is flat and finish feel is light alcoholic. Much better than I expectet but way to expensiv for what it is ! (110308) bager (2027), Copenhagen N, Denmark Mar 30, 2008 Tasting at Ølbaren 2008.03.11 - thx guys.
