Sampled @ Copenhagen Beer Festival 2010. Golden body with a big, white head. Aroma is fruity with sweet malt and pleasant alcohol. Flavor is Sweet malt, fruity, white sugar and warming alcohol. It does not feel special bitter, but there is something besides the alcohol to balance the massive sweetness. It’s quite nice actually.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 yngwie (10754) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUL 29, 2010
On tap at KØ-10. It’s a clear almost golden beer, a big white head rests on top. The aroma is vinous, with a nice hoppy twist. Alcohol and some vanilla too. The vanilla in both aroma and flavor is a bit surprising as the beer is supposed to never have met any barrel. There’s some white sugar in the flavor, along with the alcohol and hops, but not much bitterness. Full-bodied and sticky-sweet. Sweet, vinous finish. The dessert wine of beers! 100506

On tap. Pours yellow with a slight haze and a small white head. Fairly sweetish malty and fruity aroma but subdued and subtle, a little alcohol up there too. Very full-bodied, sugary and syrupy, fruit and honey with a lightly sparkling carbonation and a warming alcohol finish. 070510

7th May 2010. Copenhagen Beer Festival. Big thanks to Yespr for getting me on to this beer. Clear light gold beer. Supersweet porty malt with a little spice buried in there. Definitely a dessert beer. Warming afterglow. A simply marvelous beer. Would love to try the fully barrel aged version.

Draught at KØ10. Hazy golden colour. Very small white head. Very sweet flavour, a little spice. Hint of alcohol in the finish. OK balanced in spite of the alcohol and sweetness.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 omhper (17437) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUN 6, 2010
Draught at Copenhagen Beer Festival. Clear pale golden, no head. Interesting aroma of goat cheese. Extremely sweet. Juicy and intensely flavourful. The sweetness balances the alcohol, whereas tropical fruits mixes with white pepper and goat cheese to make it surprisingly interesting for a Carlsberg beer. It’s still too sweet, but this may actually come out terrifically well after some time on barrel.
