COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Breakout Stout is a bold American Stout with a sturdy hop bitterness. A hint of chocolate malt blended with a heavy hand of roasted grains provides balance and just the right complexity.

Bottle. Pours nearly black with a tan head: fine lacing. Aroma is roast and chocolate. Similar taste with a touch of hops. Body is medium with crisp carbo for a stout. Overall, a nice local Atlanta brew.

Never realized how terrific this beer truly is. Pours nearly black with nearly perfect thick tan head. Scent is roasty and chocolatey. Strong sweet front end and mild bitter back. Thick and lightly carbonated. Draft - White Oak Kitchen - Atlanta, GA

Poured from a bottle. Dark brown, almost black with a small, thin tan head. Huge nose on this one, with some sweet hop aromas, mocha, graham cracker. Super-smooth mouthfeel with the perfect balance of hops and malty sweetness. I wouldn’t say that this one tastes especially like chocolate, oatmeal, coffee, etc., but it’s just so well-balanced. You definitely get that "green" flavor from the hops, as well as a bit of coffee and milk chocolate. Really well-done.

Enjoyed at the Atlanta Hilton. Very delicate roast flavor with a hint if coffee and chocolate endgame. Not a massive powerhouse, but nice enough for an evening...

Bottle from...some trade. April 2013 bottle i think. Popped open with huge carbonation. Didn’t gush out of the bottle but pulled a full glass of foam. Nice roasty, chocolate aroma with hints of vanilla and nuts. Taste is dry, but big hits of sweet, dark chocolate. The sweetness kind of overtakes and the only balance is lingering, kinda burned malts.

Pint served at Engine 11 in Atlanta. Dark malt with some faint burnt elements that come to the fore on the finish. Plenty of coffee in the nose but very little in the taste. Lasting dark malt finish is a strong point, with the light burnt quality not detracting from my enjoyment. I generally do not like a burnt quality but here it adds to the strong dark roasted flavor. The mouthfeel is more substantial than Guinness, although not to the extent of the rich flavor. O - not very complex but one of the richest roasted malt flavors I have seen in a ’regular’ stout.

Bomber. Pours a dark brown color with a thin frothy tan head. Fair head retention. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, raisin and an earthy hop finish. The taste is bitter chocolate, roasted malts, coffee, herbal hops. Medium bodied. Solid stout.

8/06/2011: Jail House Breakout Stout... Aroma: Milky chocolate; creamy, slightly smoky. Appearance: Deep, dark brown; mostly opaque thick beige head with good retention and prolific lacing. Flavor: Thin chocolate; roasty and just a touch meaty; smooth with a bit of cream; only slightly dry. Palate: Medium-bodied; airy and almost light on the palate; Overall: Very good and balanced.
