Breakout Stout is a bold American Stout with a sturdy hop bitterness. A hint of chocolate malt blended with a heavy hand of roasted grains provides balance and just the right complexity.

12 oz bottle shared by Spencer. The pour is a dark brown/light black with a lighter tan head and some spots of lace. The aroma is pretty hoppy. There is a light roast and some good bitterness. On the back end there is a decent amount of cocoa and a light booze. The flavor is quite hoppy up front. There is a light roast, but it's really plain. The mouth feel is surprisingly creamy. The aftertaste lingers with a dry cocoa butter aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Fantastic all around stout. Great aroma, flavor, and mouthfeel. This what I expect from a stout!

Pours to a dark, black body with a very nice aroma of chocolate malts. The first sip starts with a smooth malty, chocolate flavor and finishes with a harsh bitter roasted coffee. Very well rounded beer from a new kid on the block.

Tastes like it smells - very rich - chocolate, roast, earth, some leather. Well-bittered. Deep rootbeer black-brown, almost opaque, but you could see some light through the bottom corners of the pint. Camel colored head. Mouthy/chewy. On tap, Taco Mac, Suwanee (Atlanta).

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. This comes from a trade from as non-RB member. The pour is jet black. It is like India ink and about as black as it can get. Modest but lasting off-white head.On the nose I pick up spent coffee grinds, dark malts, and earthy hops. Thin to medium body makes that its weakest feature. Good malty and coffee character on the taste with those coffee notes intermingled. Smooth on the palate. Reasonably drinkable. Dry ending.

Wonderful example of a straightforward stout. Malty with chocolate, coffee, and vanilla with the perfect amount of hops to keep it from being too sweet.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of dunn4040. Pours black with a moderate, somewhat cream, light brown head that lasted through the first quarter of the glass and left light patchy lace. Very pleasant aroma that is filled with cocoa and coffee with notes of roast in the nose as well. The flavor is much more centered around the roast with a very minor amount of coffee and even less cocoa. Mild roast bitterness at the finish. No problems.
