Balanced out with some nutty back end notes. Sticky, thick mouthfeel, Pretty solid.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Drake (6507) - Ivy, Virginia, USA - MAY 24, 2013
Bomber from Harry’s Farmer’s Market, Roswell. Pours a clear copper color with a medium fizzy off-white head. Good head retention. Aroma of citrus hops and toffee malts. The taste is citrus and tropical hops, toasted malts and toffee. Medium bodied, well balanced and refreshing. Solid IPA.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 deaconmike (68) - Roswell, USA - MAY 23, 2013
Poured from a bomber into a snifter. Cloudy copper with a 1 finger head. Aroma is subdued and not what I expected. Some hops, but more of sweetness. Someone described as whipped cream and that seems right on. Taste is fairly sweet, the hops bitterness us somewhat unpleasant at first - citrus rind, but seemed to mellow out a bit. Mouthfeel is ok; maybe a little thin. Fairly unique beer for the style.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 rbrazell (973) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - FEB 27, 2013
Clear light amber pour with a white head. Fruit cake, sweet pie, whipped cream, citrus hop aroma, definitely interesting and never smelt this in a IPA before. Flavor is pretty similar with a medium bitter end. Very interesting, and kinda of weird.
3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 jbruner (1129) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - FEB 27, 2013
Bottle shared thanks to rbrazell! Pours a slightly hazy copper orange with a filmy off-white head that leaves light lacing. Aroma of citrus hops, but overlying caramel make with brown sugar sweetness. Taste is a lot more IPA-like, bitter funky fresh resinous hops. Good stuff, odd but tasty.
3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20 JLLSU (238) - Acworth, Georgia, USA - OCT 27, 2012
Bomber--->tulip. Pours pretty true orange with a huge head (bottle actually gushed a little) and pretty crazy lacing. Aroma is sweet malt and mild orange. Taste is quite sweet (but not that malty overly smooth sweetness) with some non-offensive citrus rind bitter. Palate is nice and lively. Nothing that will blow you away, but a nice easy drinking IPA.

31 aug 2012, bottle. Gold, faintly cloudy, steady bubbles. Nose is really sweet, green raisin, some grassy hops. Full body and faintly fizzy. Sugary malt with background grapefruit rind. Not bitter at all.

A pretty tame ipa. Slight bitterness. The yeast could be cleaner. Hop choice is decent but under developed
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Jow (1380) - New York, USA - JUL 21, 2012
Bottle at Woodfire Grill in Atlanta (amazing restaurant by the way). Pours amber with floral and citrus nose. Tastes of tangerines, toffee, rock candy, floral, earth, and light ginger. A little more like a DIPA. Pretty tasty
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 andyhwcinc (1139) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 16, 2012
Purchased at Hop City in Atlanta, GA; enjoyed in my hotel room while doing some work during a work training trip. Appearance a cloudy light amber/dark gold with a rich slightly frothy white head. Aroma is more like a DIPA, rich caramel malt with a very pronounced hop profile. Taste goes down very malty with a slight bitter bite, citrus notes, very chewy, a bit extreme. It’s a decent brew but I can’t say this is really much of an IPA in my opinion, more like a less potent DIPA.
3.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 cduncan14 (52) - Sandy Springs, Georgia, USA - JUL 10, 2012
Poured from a bomber into a pint glass. Pours with a pillowy head that lingers. Very muted aroma. Looks exactly like what an IPA should look like in my mind; orange-brown and slightly cloudy. Jailhouse clearly doesn’t filter their beer, not that they need to. Very resiny hop flavor up front, but balanced enough with a light malty sweetness. Finishes a touch dryer than I’d hope. Overall this is a classic hop-lover’s IPA that grows on me as I work on the bottle. You won’t find any citrus or spice here, just hop and malt. If that’s your thing, this is one to try for sure.
